United StatesDo not go gentle into that spam SMS. Filter SMS and MMS from unknown senders into a separate, muted list, called Junk. Mehssages SMS filter extension turns off notifications for SMS and MMS from the numbers which are not in your Contacts. Make Allowlist by sender's phone number or body text to receive messages normally. Use Mehssages’ Messages app to add an item to the Allowlist or paste a phone number from your clipboard.

I will update the review if it works well. But I will keep this at 4 stars because of the total lack of support for light/dark modes (app may need to be updated) and visual bugs like tapping around on the app flashes white, and the title of the app is hard to see as it’s too dark for the background. Please fix these bugs. Love the simple concept. I just want it to look right and have support. Glad to find development.
