Instadose® is a smarter radiation monitoring platform that is simplifying administration, reducing costs and transforming how staff are monitored and safeguarded from radiation over-exposure. Now immediate dose reads can be captured by internet enabled computers or smart phones and tablets. The Instadose® Companion mobile app wirelessly communicates and securely transmits accumulated dose data from Instadose®+ and Instadose®2 digital dosimeters to Mirion servers where dose information is archived in the wearer’s legal dose of record. Automatic dose reads are performed on an established calendar setting (set by your account administrator) and manual dose reads can be performed at any time by pressing the button on the back of the dosimeter for 4-seconds. Successful transmission occurs when the dosimeter is in range of the mobile device with the Instadose app opened and “searching for devices” appears on the main screen. Dose results, history, and wearer/dosimeter information can be immediately viewed (by the individual wearer or admin only) directly on the app after a successful transmission.
Dose reads on the go
Looks like they fixed the crashing issue, app stays open while I read my badges. this is the greatest thing to be able to read the badges while on the road.
Crappy app/system
Takes forever to connect and transfer. Crashes constantly….. have to try and manually send at least 2-3 times for it to maybe work. Go with Landauer if you’re considering this crappy company.
App and badges are crap!
App works when it wants to. They have been sending “new” badges that don’t work. Overall a zero stars. Better to take your business to Landauer.
Pure trash
For something that is supposed to be so Important, this app is pure trash. Never syncs if updates. Crashes when you do manual sync, it’s just abysmal. Would give negative stars if I could.
Frustrating
I’ve had the same experience. Auto reads never work. Manual reads never connect to my mobile phone
Terrible App/Product
I was excited when my company switched to these knowing it would mean no longer mailing in badges and now submitting via Bluetooth. Unfortunately these badges and the app are terrible quality. The badge stops working frequently, the all is highly unreliable to send transmissions and the customer service is the worst. It took me 6 months to get a replacement badge after one stopped working and it wasn’t until I got my company involved since it was violating guidelines.
So bad
Doesn’t always work, and when it does… I am not sure the readings are correct.
- Bug fixes and improvement in scanning ID2 and ID+ badges.
