MTA Subway Time gives you real-time train arrival information for selected routes of the New York City subway system. Knowing exactly when your train will arrive will reduce the time you spend waiting on the subway platform, and let you know of any service delays or reroutes before you pay your fare.
This app used to be uncannily accurate
The app has so much potential It used to be accurate and a go to app for essential workers here in NYC. It seems no one cares about correcting this. Looks like Covid-19 got to this once reliable app. Sad
Stops working at 12 am
This app stops working after 12 am and that’s when i need it the most because the subway shuts down at one am now due to covid. One day out of curiosity i tried a different app (citymapper)and to my surprise it worked after 12 am!!! That made such an impact on my commute, on that particular night i got home 20 min earlier . I was a happy camper!
Best mta app for frequent subway users
If you know your route and just need to know when your next train is, this app is great, could use a better internal refresh rate, you have to exit out the screen and click the stop again to see updated times
Simple, Works; What Next?
PLEASE Add a Favorite Station feature. I literally only use this for two stations (work and home) and can’t stand scrolling through station names in distant boroughs to get to the one I want.
Wrong more and more often
This app used to be very reliable, but nowadays it’s wrong far more than it should be. Today the S train isn’t running but it’s still showing times as though it is. The same thing happened when all the 1/2/3 trains were down last week because of the water main break. Also the times are no longer quite as good as they used to be.
Unreliable
Like everything else in this city. The app only shows trains going south at my station...one stop away. Useless.
Off by minutes
The 2 train in the morning hours is always earlier then posted on here. Extremely aggravating when you think you should just make it but to your own surprise train pulls in when your steps away from going up the long stairs. #hatetheMTA
