This Chinese company took 10x the money for me to go to the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo. They pretended to be American and were full of guarantees. They promised everything would be great but in their own system I bought two tickets and they’re “provider” sent only one. So you know what happened? We traveled all the way to Japan for that one thing schedule-wise and they ruined the whole thing. But they denied the issue until they checked their own Japanese voucher. But customer service never even trusted me I got this from the Lawson in Japan. Use at your own risk it should be banned in the US. My daughter and I missed what was her most important experience to have in Japan.

My partner and I booked a boat tour for 4.24 at 3pm. The operator changed time to 11am which we moved other plans around to accommodate. The instructions on where to meet were poor and confusing. We ended up at another dock #2 as there are two labeled that way at the marina. We spent additional money to get a water taxi to make it to the other side of the marina in time to catch our tour. We communicated while we were trying to get there and they ignored us. When arrived hey had left and refused to speak to us at all. I reached out to the get your guide support chat for help and or a refund and didn’t even get a response after being told to hold on for a few minutes by two different reps. They never came back to the chat and sent emails saying the operator informed them of our cancellation request which we never requested. No one from the app has responded or helped in any way, clearly so a refund doesn’t have to be given. We will never do business again and we will make our experience known publicly and will work with our bank to recoup what was paid. This is clearly a scam.

I booked an experience through this app and I unfortunately wasn’t able to do this experience because the check in process was so long and I was pushing my reservation back and I had already drove an hour and 30 minutes to this experience and I wasn’t able to start an hour later because I had other reservations that day. I tried to get a refund from the host of the experience but they told me to contact “GET YOUR GUIDE” for a refund. I contacted them immediately and told them what happened and they didn’t care they all just wanted to keep the $222 I had spent on something I didn’t even get to do. I wouldn’t have drove and hour and 30 min just to say I wanted a refund. I actually wanted to do it but I wasn’t able to. Get your guide and the experience host just wanted to keep the money. They didn’t care at all. I’m extremely disappointed by this since I use get your guide for all my travel. Beware they don’t care about you just want your money.

The app is fine, but you can’t trust what they say they will provide and stand behind that. Case in point, I booked a day trip from Amsterdam to Brussels. Flew from Boston to Amsterdam for 1 week The trip to Brussels was going to be the highlight of my week. I made these plans months in advance. The evening before the day for trip I got an email stating the trip was cancelled, just stating not enough participants. I feel like, I gave them months of notice they gave me 1/2 day. Don’t trust them with your money and the promise of a good time, they won’t keep it

I recently had a dreadful experience with the GetYourGuide app that left me utterly frustrated and disappointed. Despite booking a popular large group tour in Rome several weeks in advance, I inadvertently booked the same tour again for the same day the day before the tour was set to begin. Shockingly, the app failed to notify me of this duplicate booking. Upon realizing my mistake, I immediately attempted to cancel one of the bookings, only to find out that I couldn’t because the tour was less than 24 hours away. Customer service was an absolute nightmare. Despite numerous emails and interactions with different agents, they all robotically regurgitated the same excuse: “rules are rules.” It’s clear their primary concern is protecting their own interests, even at the expense of customer satisfaction. They shamelessly lied to me about the possibility of a refund, claiming the tour provider wouldn’t cooperate, only to be exposed when I reached out to the actual agency and received a prompt and courteous refund directly from them. It’s evident that GetYourGuide’s customer service is severely lacking, with a dismissive attitude that suggests they believe their dominance in the market exempts them from providing quality assistance. Save yourself the headache and use alternative platforms like Booking, Airbnb, TripAdvisor, Klook, or any other service that actually values its customers. Trust me, it’s not worth the hassle.

This app turned out to be the best part of planning a 3 day sightseeing trip in Berlin. I was tagging on a few adventures after a work trip, and the suggestions of what to do were super helpful, booking was easy, the app worked great - just scanned QR codes for all of our tickets, nice reminders, and the maps for meeting points made it so easy to figure out where we were supposed to go. Other traveler reviews were also really helpful. Top notch, totally recommend to make your trip easy and meaningful.
