The app really helps in planning and keeping you updated before and after the cruise. I liked that you could keep track of your expenditures as well as where to find the activities and restaurants . We didn’t have any problems with the app itself. The chat feature was a different story. It was horrible! There was a group of 14 of us and we all purchased the chat. Big mistake! Most of the time it would not work and it would just go yellow. You’d have to go back and reboot the app and you had your app back but most of the time, still no chat. It got to be very frustrating for all of us.

Works well if Wi-Fi is working
The app is great for reservations and finding activities. We purchase the chat app but some people in our chat will not receive messages. They haven’t log off and get back on to receive messages. I think the chat option should be free just because of the glitches it has. However $5 for the duration of the cruise not bad.

The app worked great! I needed a little training on the app to receive the full benefit but over all it was a great addition!
Wifi
We constantly lost the wifi connection in our cabin that was in the first floor
Didn’t update as it should have.
Temperature wasn’t up to date. Froze for several days. Some days worked well. Some days I had to go to guest services for help and they had to troubleshoot it and reset it.

The app worked fine when the WiFi was working. I didn’t have to pay for WiFi just to use the app. Carnival should emphasize to customers how important it is to have the app on their phones, especially when it is time to get off the ship. My rating is 4.5.
