the fact you have to return the bike every 45minutes is crazy already, but not mentioning it anywhere and then charging me 280dirhams is even crazier. theyre only trying to steal your money and it is not at all worth the hadtle. lets not even mention the fact that careem pay does not work on the app whatsoever, its only an option that has no function. the entire app is bad and it literally has no help area on the app if something goes wrong. -1/10. wouldnt recommend.

After crediting money using Apple Pay , I was not able to add 2 of my USA credits cards to the Careem app. After many calls with my bank and several calls with Careem and Careem Bike so-called customer service, I am told US or UK issued credit cards won’t be accepted to the bike app. Great news to hear after adding Dirhams to the account that you can’t rent a bike. Careem won’t refund the money. I’m sure careem will top the Fortune 500 list at this rate of swindling.

If I could. I will give 0 stars. The app has few buttons to access and none of the buttons is « emergency ». Thé bikes are good, but some are not working properly, so you might have to experiment a few times before going on your ride. The subscription plans are great. One day is 20 AED, 1 week is 50 AED, 1 month 75 AED. If you do bike often; it will be good to take for more. However, you get charged 10 AED for every additional 30 minutes after the first 45 minutes. The main reason this application and company fails is because of the lack of maintenance, support and emergency contact. Imagine you have a flat tyre situation suddenly. Or something broke down. What do you do? Fill out a form that they will reply to you after days. And the metre will continue to count your minutes. So by the time they respond to you, you will probably be paying over hundreds if not thousands. M’y issue was: I returned the bike to the dock. The metre didn’t stop. I tried to remove the bike from the dock, to place it somewhere else. But, it couldn’t get out, either. In short, it was stuck but the metre was ongoing. I called the police. Hoping they will figure something out, but they couldn’t. They told me « shouldn’t there be emergency number » and guess what? There isn’t. So if you’re trapped in a situation; that’s it. You’re just going to get robbed. This application and the service shouldn’t exist without an emergency number or without contestant maintenance. So horrible.
