Unreliable Performance

I’ve used the app now for several years, but in the past few months the performance has been highly unreliable. Items I add to my cart disappear and I have to re-add them, even when there has been no change in inventory or cost, and there are many “glitches.” The most frustrating feature that has been consistently unreliable has been browsing. When browsing, only a few items populate in a category, such as First Look, Food & Beverage, or Limited-Time Sales (that is to say, it’s been consistent across all categories). When attempting to scroll past the already populated items in the category, the app will “reload” the category and shuffle the items displayed by “Relevance,” which ends up being slightly different but largely the same every time. This will occur even when attempting to sort by an alternative category, such as “Price Low to High” or “New.” Once I reach the end of the items that have originally populated in that sort, it will immediately reload the sort as “Relevance” and show me mostly products I have seen before. This is greatly frustrating because I am unable to browse potential new products or go through existing ones that I haven’t considered for various reasons in the past. I’ve recently given up and gone to the mobile version of the site lately to get around this issue, but that version of browsing is less suited for mobile and loads slightly slower. I hope that this issue is looked into, because I don’t believe it would be the type of issue that occurs only to me. Additionally, I’ve loved my VIP subscription for so many years and have had amazing customer service the entire time. I’d love to see issues with the app resolved similarly to how issues & development in other areas have been approached!

Scrolling makes the products shuffle

Often when I select a category of products and start scrolling down, there’s a hitch and it freezes. The point where I was stopped shows three products in the list. When it unfreezes, there are three new products, which I assume are down further than where I stopped, so I scroll back up and find that all of those products are new and not at the top of the list I was scrolling down from. I lose my place and go back to the top, with all new products. The point of scrolling down is to go through the whole list in that category. I don’t need to spend more time on the app trying to sort through what I’ve already viewed and what I have not yet viewed. If it’s a ploy to get more engagement time on the app, it’s having the opposite effect. It’s annoying, and makes me not want to use the app at all.

Grove app constantly glitchy, significantly affecting experience

I am a long time VIP Grove customer for 4-5 years now and the app has never been great but it’s so much worse now. Constantly freezes and doesn’t fully load. I get emails on deals and new items which I click on and gets opened in the app only to show an error message on the app. I don’t know what’s going on that keeps making the app terrible to use but it has made me less inclined to buy from them because it’s such a hassle. I attempt to load/reload the app and make sure I have made all necessary updates. Telephone customer service for Grove in general is great - and I love their products - but they might lose me as a customer soon if this goes on for another 6 months.

Long time shopper, app needs fixing

I’ve been a grove customer for 4 years now. The items I get are great! But the app REALLY NEEDS FIXING in a lot of area. Too many to list but they really need to fix the constant pop up of the “there was a problem loading screen”. When looking at products it bounces back to the top when I’m scrolling through products. You can’t just shop by brand anymore on the shop bar button on the bottom. If I skip items in my cart most of them don’t pop back up in my cart after I make an order. I feel like the app used to be better and it’s just gone down hill. Almost like the whole company is going down hill.

Refund

I’m not a fan of your guys refund process. There needs to be a “ cancel order “ section so I can just cancel the unwanted order instead of having to sit around waiting for your team to respond to an email, especially when you guys don’t have any other form of contact.

Can’t browse products without it resetting and reordering products being viewed

I love Grove, I like the app but for the part where it keeps resetting so I cannot get through the 395 products listed. Example: I did a search for “sample” to see if there were any good items to add. I noticed it brought up a couple clearance items I was interested in trying as well. Search results brought up 395 products and that number has not changed. As I’m browsing products and scrolling through the list of 395 returns, it will look like maybe it’s updating the list and it will bring me back up to the top of the list and as I start to scroll again, I notice that products are in a different order and the number of hits on the search is still 395. I will never be able to see all of the hits as it continues to keep resetting itself and I’ve lost the patience to try to skim through the results to skip over what I already scrolled past and do my best to catch the products I haven’t yet seen that I might be interested in. Very very frustrating. I think I gave up after the sixth time it reset itself.
