Cell Towers displays cell tower locations within the United States based on data from the Federal Communications website in 2017. Once the data is loaded and the map position moves to the United States, zoom in a good amount to the location of interest, then do a long-tap (3 seconds) on the map to display the tower locations within the chosen radius (5 km is the default). Tap a marker to see the licensees at that location. The data is not 100% accurate since you will find locations in the middle of nowhere with no tower visible in the aerial view, and I know of towers not listed. This is most likely due to errors in the latitude and longitude given for an item. Use the app for entertainment and not for any crucial work. Contact: [email protected].
Did not work.
I got the map of. Zoomed various distance from home out several miles. There was a 6 showing in the corner. Assume that is the number of towers near me. Nonetheless, not a single 📍 was placed on any distance from my home indicating where the towers are. Don’t waste your time. Zero effectiveness
Worthless
This app is worthless on an IPad.
Good info
Not super fast, or responsive. But after tapping snd waiting a few seconds the cell tower info appears. Very useful to see the location and who is using the tower.
Never did load any data
Title says it all. Completely useless app. I zoomed in to my town, let it sit for 20 or so minutes and never got any tower location. There are no controls other than a radius adjustment, fiddling with that did nothing. Frustrating
Don’t work
Dara never loaded. This app does not work.
Unusable
God forbid you have more than two cell towers within a six-mile radius; it renders the app unusable.
Didn’t work
Waited 30 minutes to load a map of about 50 square miles and it just keep saying loading... deleted app and will look for another.
Simply the addition of making the app available for the iPad since it was inadvertently made available only for iPhone originally.
