Crashing
Used Simplenote for many years but recently gave up on it after the app started crashing for no identifiable reason. I truly love the ability to publish notes as web pages, but the app is starting to fall behind the competition and just isn't strong enough for daily use unless it gets more frequent updates to squash bugs.
Account required just to try it out?
Downloaded app. Launched. Was asked to login. Closed app and uninstalled.
Overly Basic
No Bulleted Lists No Numbered Lists No Headings or Sub-Headings ** NO BOLD ** No folders; Organizes with Tags. SIGH. :(
Awesome
i’ve been using this at least for 6 years and it’s still the best!
4.5 stars
- lack of locking notes - kinda confusing icon overall good app. thx and god bless
doesn't seem to work anymore
Won't let me sign up, just says that I must be online after I get the sign-up email.
Essential app - but Collaborate (share note) needs work
I live in this app but it needs work on Collaborate to fully deserve 5 starts. Collaborate shows as a note context menu (ellipsis) option but there's no UI for it, it's still implemented as an email address in the tag UI. On a Mac the only UI interaction is a dialog that pops up over the tag area, but in a long note this dialog is not shown (doesn't scroll to show). So it seems nothing happens. Collaborate and Share are confusing options. Suggest follow the Notes.app convention.
