The promise…
I want to love this app - tasks, notion integration, calendar, scheduling… all great! But: there are some bugs / annoyances that still have me whip out Apple calendar most of the time. For example: dragging an event to a different time to reschedule will result in the event jumping down about 3 hours. I’d also love to see the days of the week as icons at the top for convenience, similarly to the Apple calendar layout.
It's ok
There's a bug where if you drag events created in a different time zone than the current one, the event just moves to a completely different time than the one you dragged it to.
Can’t use as a stand-alone iOS App-Must have desktop Morgen account
I read the reviews of this app, and they sounded somewhat promising, so I downloaded it directly to my iPhone to try it out. You can’t even begin to use the Calendar app on an iOS device unless you first download & register a desktop version, as well as create an account with Morgen to do so. That’s absolutely ridiculous. I already use Outlook on my PC & the description in the App Store for Morgan says that it’s compatible with most other desktop calendar programs. If that’s true, then why would I want to clutter my computer with ANOTHER separate calendar program just to synchronize with my iPhone? App deleted. I’ll stick with WeekCal. It’s looks similar to Morgen, but you don’t have to load a desktop app on your computer to use it.
This is my new favorite app!
Saw this app on YouTube video. Very rarely am I blown away by task/Calendar app… This is it! Especially you’re looking for something to help you with.. GTD or RPM
Feels like Beta Release
The desktop experience is very slick. This App however feels like it was a developed by a completely different team. The UI/UX is very different than the desktop app. For example, the app version has no search feature to find existing appoints by search. When out or on the couch, I find myself not using the Morgen app and instead using Google or Fantastical. This app is no longer on my home page.
Glitchy
Morgen has been incredibly glitchy or desktop and mobile. I keep getting feedback from clients that dates are not available on my calendar when they are open. I’ve also heard other users of Morgen having these issues.
Good start, but missing Must Haves
Super clean UI. Excellent ability to time block. But some must have features are missing. For example, in calendar view, currently there is no option to search for meeting names. Your can browse dates, but if you want to search for when the XYZ meeting is scheduled you’ll need to use your source / primary calendar. That alone has me adding extra steps. And the time saved with Morgen, gets diluted needing to use my old calendar.
In this version, we fixed a number of smaller issues and improved the general reliability of the Morgen app.
