Evernote used to be cutting-edge
I've used Evernote for Mac for many years. Great tool - over the years it has but it's not kept up with software-standard features. Three things still needed: 1. A way to prevent Notes from being edited or deleted. Right now, it's way too easy to accidentally edit or delete notes, due to accidental keystrokes (which tends to happen late in the day, when I'm tired). 2. Search needs to be able to see inside notes. Long overdue request. 3. Search also needs an option for Exact Match of words (ignoring capitalization).

No... this has just gone in the wrong direction. I've moved to Apple Notes, which has 99% of the functionality with 1% of the baggage.

I have been using Evernote for years now and it just keeps getting better and better. Note taking in it is good, not as robust as MS OneNote, but it's good. But for storing info, saving web pages, photos, notes, reminders, screenshots.....endless options, I love it. Search is super reliable including reading text in photos.

First, I read all the reviews here and some are just plain WRONG. Evernote, like most other software, requires you to take a minute and learn how to use it. For example, the clipper is a cool feature that will clip all or part of a web page and put it in the notebook you specify. One reviewer here said the opposite, but they are wrong. To get proficient with Evernote, take advantage of the training resources available. Some are by Evernote and some are by Evernote consultants (look on Youtube) I have Evernote on a Mac, a MacBook, an iPad & iPhone, Android, and Windows. It works flawlessly across all platforms and keeps everything in sync. You can reach it from any computer anywhere in the world through the web browser and your secure login. (Evernote supports 2FA for more secure login.) You can even email it something you want to store. I recently exported an entire notebook with hundreds of complex notes. It was for a business I sold and I wanted the new owner to have access to the information. I had a few issues exporting a few notes, but tech support told me what to do in less than 24 hours and the rest of the process went smoothly. I frequently share notes back and forth with a small group of others in my profession. It is a very handy way to share and collaborate on technical subjects. Fourteen years later and I am still a happy customer.

they've destroyed this product, I've been a user for > 10 years and thought of this as the most ueseful and integral application for may to day work, but it's becoming almost useless, slow, buggy, notes duplicating, poor MAC integration, including getting rid off the share menu item etc., etc., please, if anyone is in the same boat, would greatly appreciate suggestions for what to change to, I'm giving us on this green elephant, there has to be a better product, for what clearly is an outstanding concept, but executed poorly, every upgrade essentially being a downgrade...

I am a pro user who uses Evernote for all my sheet music, and it's great that it can sync that data across all my devices. I've tried almost every other app in this category and Evernote performs better than leading alternatives like OneNote, Notion, Joplin, etc.... Guaranteed there's some feature of Evernote that you only use sometimes that will be missing in its competitors.

I own and operate a home building business and am a general contractor. Evernote Teams has been a BIG help for me as I tried all the big apps specifically for my industry and they are SO complicated my team could never get on board 100%. Now I manage each project in Evernote, create tasks, organize files, mark up plans, email documents and plans, and so much more! It's easy enough to use our iPhones/iPads in the field to add quick notes either via text or voice and images too. It is really starting to make a difference in our level of customer service and project management. If I could complain, it would be that I can't add calendar events from my synced calendar, which we still prefer to use for timelines. Maybe one other would be being able to edit google sheets, but I can see that never happening LOL, not a biggie. Keep up the good work!
