This is the absolute worst, clunky, un-user-friendly Photo Booth app out there. Honestly better to just use your timer on your iPhone. Do not waste your time energy or money on this.

The app works well. It is easy to set up and easy to use. The photo both does not need to be “manned”. Users can easily take their own pictures with on-screen prompts and a timer. However, I am disappointed with this app. We bought the app for a series of office events to captured coworker and visitor photos. For $100 it only includes very basic features. You are unable to delete pictures (even the test ones). I have some less than favorable pics taken in test mode, that have been added to our office’s gallery. They can’t be deleted without a plan. Why would test pictures even be saved—especially to any gallery other than a gallery only the owner has access to. Embarrassing! You can only share pictures via QR code (as opposed to via text) and it seems that you cannot just access your single picture but the link leads to everyone’s photos. My co-workers were leaving the booth to get their phones to scan the QR code which caused a traffic jam and confusion. The only customization is adding a logo to the photos. It seems the only way to get these [seemingly basic] features is to subscribe to a plan and plans start at $29/month. That is really unreasonable after paying $100 and with the intentions of only using the app for work-related events.

I purchased Simple Booth Photo App so that I can use it for an important event. When I first downloaded it, it worked perfectly until it didn’t. It stopped recognizing that it was connected to Wi-fi and it would NOT send my photos using the QR code option or the text option. I contacted customer service and I was told being the the photos were in the queue, the app is working as it should. Customer service totally disregarded the fact that the App does not recognize that Wi-Fi is on. My entire smart home works on wi-fi and everything in my home shows connected to wi-fi. I did what was suggested to troubleshoot wi-fi and it still did not work. I asked for a full refund of the App purchase and a cancellation of the Simple Booth App and I was ghosted. 👎

My venue didn’t have great reception, but I didn’t realize that meant the photos wouldn’t upload. No where in the set up does it say you need strong internet access to save photos. When I contacted support, all they told me was that all my photos were deleted. Super disappointed that nothing was saved.
