RŌV Motion connects and controls RŌV Mobile and RŌV PRO. Setup a time-lapse, slow-motion, or video move and capture ultra smooth cinematic moments. RŌV Motion even allows you to shoot long exposure-timelapses on your iPhone or DLSR (optional shutter cable required for DSLR).
Just stopped working.
Used it twice for photos and did alright. Tried to use it for video a month later and it just doesn’t go. I connect to the app, hit go to home and it just doesn’t move. Tried everything and it’s clearly just not working anymore.
No updates for 3+ yrs
Spent good money on their hardware and they have just abandoned the app. All the other reviews hit all the notes. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
App no longer functional in 2023
This app no longer works (tested on iPhone 11 and iPhone 13). After taking the Timelapse footage, once you try to hit save, it will get stuck on an infinite spinner and won’t save your footage.
Please Read if you are having trouble connecting an iPhone!
I tried connecting my brand new iPhone 12 max pro and received this error: rotate phone 90 degrees. Nothing happens no matter what I did because if you click the “X” it closes the app. After searching for hours I found the problem. You have to drag from the upper right corner to the middle of the iPhone screen. There is a “landscape lock” that you’ll need to uncheck. Once you do that the product works great!
I don’t write reviews unless the app is truly awful
I bought the slider on a whim because these ROV motion devices appear to be on clearance. That said, the app makes the hardware close to unusable. When I tried to access the camera on myiPhone 11 Pro, I heard this weird buzzing from phone that I’ve never heard before. As it turns out, it was the optical image stabilizer going crazy in the phones wide angle camera. The resultant video was just this vibrating blurry mess. I only spent $70 on the slider when a year ago they were over 300. But even at that price it seems to be money wasted.
Provide us point a to point b movements
This slider dose not allow us to select the particular a to b positions, instead we need to run the full length of slider... which is point less .. i was mailing rhino gear for so long to implement this feature but no use ...at this point i will never invest in rhino gear...
Features don’t work
Controls the slider fine, but the timelapse fester (which is headlined in the App Store photos) doesn’t work. After time lapses the app crashes. This has led to wasted hours. Support says the features aren’t supported despite being advertised in the App Store. The hardware slider has been great but the software support for it has been really disappointing.
Hello! Small update here with a bug fix for user's whose time-lapses were causing the app to hang when exporting to the camera roll.
