Great podcast player!
I've used Mimir for about a month, and it's a great player with a lot of usability advantages.
This app siftRSS is podcast perfection
leaving a review, please make the pop-up go away. love this app though.
Great if you listen to many shows
I've been looking for an iOS replacement for Podcast Addict for years and this is by far the closest. It's a bit feature-light but I haven't seen any bugs yet and the "groups" feature is exactly what I wanted: an easy way to organize my dozens of subscriptions.
Mimir, the one to rule them all
… or at lease make listening to podcasts and managing playlists much easier. I appreciate how easily I can create a queue of episodes on one platform and then pick it up on another.
At last, a return to normal!
Podcasts are supposed to be a beautifully open format. You download an MP3 via an RSS feed, and you listen to it. Apple's default app is becoming more like Spotify -- trying to change the experience into a walled garden. In the process of becoming too fancy, the UI of Apple's app has made it impossible to do simple operations such as select a large number of episodes to mark them as played. Mimir is the cure -- a totally normal experience. Everything acts as expected. You can edit the "played" status of large numbers of episodes, and you can even ask to view the MP3 file of an episode in the Finder. A totally smooth experience with no hiccups so far. Thanks for the great app!
Continued Bugginess Holds Mimir Back
I really like the layout and design of the Mimir app. Unfortunately it continues to have bugs that make it a less-than-ideal experience. For example, when opening the app in CarPlay, the “Now Playing “ app often won’t play; a work-around that sometimes works is to manually play the next podcast episode, than go back. Another example: when managing podcast episodes (especially if you’re managing several at a time), the player interface may freeze momentarily or not reflect your changes. This often necessitates restarting Mimir. All of the little quirks together add up to an often frustrating experience. Finally, I like the recent swipe interface changes to play next/last, and Mark as played/remove from playlist. That said, I’d like to see that expanded to the Now Playing/Next screen instead of only being accessible within each individual podcast.
Excellent app
I use it to download podcast onto an MP3 player. It's easy to use.
- Fixed an issue unlocking premium features from Setapp activation links - Fixed an issue refreshing the playlist in CarPlay when hitting X on the playing item
