Horrible service
They constantly show trains as on time only to get to station and find out they are 15-20 mins behind. This is a common occurrence and it really goes against the very nature of the app. People do not want to be waiting inside crowded station houses in a pandemic and are now forced to due to the erroneous info the app provides. Get it together!
Need more.
Wish they had a map tracking all trains at the same time. There use to be an app that did this and it is gone.
METRA
I rode the train for 17 years. While it mostly ran on time, there were multiple incidents that were preventable which were never addressed. First, freight interference that caused back ups on a weekly basis....even daily basis. For whatever reasons, the freight trains took precedence and we were left waiting.....sometimes for hours. Secondly, poorly maintained cars. They were dirty and gross a lot of the time. Third, there was little information forthcoming when delays did occur. Prerecorded announcements about being sorry for the inconvenience were a source of mocking humor. Fourth, cost. When i began my odyssey into the city my monthly ticket was $127. By the time i stopped the madness it had risen to $240. Believe me when i tell you the ride was not 100% better. Fuel costs had dropped. Pay and benefits has risen far beyond the CPI and conductors bragged about what a good deal it all was. Lastly, the introduction of “quiet cars” was awesome. However, very few conductors bothered to remind the ignorant who talked and took calls etc. it was mostly left up to the patrons who were paying for their seats and should not have been forced into policing the trains. There you have it. I have not ridden the train in two years nor will i ever again. I do not miss it at all. It was novel at first and then it was just something i had to do to get to the city.
No Tracking
For some reason my route my train is never tracked . What good is it if it’s not tracked ?
Useless
The app notifies you its late after the arrival time has passed. Gee, thanks for the heads up, captain obvious.
Used to be good but crashes immediately
It used to work fine for me, but now when I start it up it crashes
