The Charli smartphone application lets users locate electric vehicle charging stations through a searchable map with GPS capability and pay for charging on those stations with an Charli account. The map enables users to view the status and availability of Charli managed chargers near their current location. Once a charging station is selected, driving directions are offered. Also, stations can be saved to the user’s favorites, allowing quick and easy access to the stations they use the most. Additional features include viewing charging session and billing history, managing payment cards, and editing their profile for Charli members
Not Consumer Friendly App
Like many other reviews, I have been using this charging station at my new job’s office building and it is not easy to connect, it continues to show it’s charging when I’ve disconnected and doesn’t give my bill balance until I’ve reconnected. I’ve reached out multiple times with no response on email and on IG DM. I even offered to show them real time since I’m located at their HQ with no response. If I could give zero stars I would. Sorry to be harsh, but not sure what else to do to get there attention.
Doesn’t work
Tried to use a charger that directed me to Charli and have entered PW, face recognition, reset PW multiple times…it doesn’t work. Likewise with scanning credit card to enter as payment - goes nowhere. I can only imagine that it’s because there are little gnomes in the app who are slowly walking scraps of paper with PWs and other info on them back and forth and losing them and that’s why the app doesn’t respond to input.
Terrible UI
There is little to no information about charge rates, the Bluetooth connections to stations is terrible, there are random crashes, and very little information when it does crash. This app needs a lot more money to be thrown at it to make it usable. When everything does work (rarely), charging works well, hence the single star.
Awful. Do not use, go charge somewhere else
This might be the worst app I’ve ever encountered. A complete mess to setup and use. I have no idea what the thing has charged me. I can stop a charging session, I have no idea what I’ve been charged.

If the app is not offline and you’re able to download it, don’t. It’s clunky and rarely works.
Terribly designed and marginally functional
As others have pointed out the UI for this app is a disaster, requiring way too much effort to do simple things. Beyond that there are ridiculous error messages with little context, random crashes and countless hangs. Highly recommend using any other system if one is available.

The most ridiculous EV app I’ve ever tried to use. No other chargers I’ve used use this app. The signup process asks for way too much info. The charger I was trying to use did not have a qr code (just a 5 digit code) and there was nowhere to put in the code in the app! I was also required to simultaneously verify my email and phone. Not even my bank requires me to do both. Absolute crap.
