Sounds great, could use some feature upgrades
This is a great sounding Rhodes emulation, really a fan of the speaker and drive implementations. Two things keep me from rating 5 stars, one is that you have to readjust all the settings every time you open the app; presets would be nice, or at least a preference file remembering the last used settings. Second, implementation into the standard DAW’s would up the value a ton. The program would be so much more flexible if it were accessable within Logic or Pro Tools as an INSTRUMENT without having to pipe it through soundflower and print everything permanently as an audio track. Sometimes you want to be able to adjust the tone settings after the fact. Sometimes you want to quantize or change individual notes in a performance without re-recording the entire track. Overall it’s a great sounding application.
Serious issue with saving settings
This app sounds great but when you boot it up, it is very boomy and needs some EQ adjustment to get it to sound the way I want it. The problem is that when you quit the app and restart it, all your settings are lost. From what I can tell there is no way to fix this. I have contacted the developer in hopes of finding a solution. If there is one, I will gladly update this to 5 stars because once it is tweaked, it sounds great.
Amazing!
This thing is great, I have played a lot of soft synth Rhodes, and this one beats all of em! The attention to detail, the clarity of the samples, the little features like how it gets the sound of the key being released and struck, its almost (almost) like playing a real rhodes, although there is nothing quite like that!
TOTALLY AWESOME! Works great with Garageband!!!
Just follow careful attention to the instructions using Sunflower. It actually loops around as a real instrument (not a midi).
Worth The Money!
I've only been playing with this thing for a short time. I really, really, really like it. Using it in GarageBand is a piece of cake once I downloaded Soundflower. Very customizable and friendly. Worth every penny.
just fun, i mean ....wow!
yes indeed! this sho nuff fun..... beau coup yeh!
Warm, wonderful, fat, bell-like tone on a budget
Lovely sound. There's nothing like a Rhodes, but this is awfully close. I use the inexpensive M-Audio Keystation 49 that's at the Apple Stores with this, and you cannot believe what a magnificent sound you get on a budget. I would like tighter integration with GarageBand to allow greater note editing capability, but some of that may be the limits of GarageBand, not this app. A strength is the flexible tone controls, though I'd like some standard settings, like maybe in the style of our favorite Fender Rhodes songs, like Taxi theme, Sunshine of My Life, and Riders on the Storm, etc. Grab this winner before the March price increase!!!
