MX-Q is a new app available for iOS devices that allows controlling personal monitor mixing for all Midas M32 and M-AIR series, as well as Behringer X32 and X-AIR series digital mixing consoles. With MX-Q, musicians can control their own monitor bus mix (mono/stereo) with full access to all input channels individually. Input channels can also be grouped into 4 MCA (Mix Control Association) wheels for easy control of multiple channels. Each band member can group inputs to their own liking, greatly simplifying the individual monitor balance during performance. Setup is simple – just connect your device to the same wireless network as the digital mixer. MX-Q start screen will show available mixers in the network, to chose from. Once connected MX-Q allows everyone in the band to take control of their own mix. KEY FEATURES * Select the mix bus for your personal mono/stereo monitoring control from your phone * Assign any combination of inputs to four available MCA (mix control association) wheels * MCAs allow concurrent trimming of all assigned signals with just one control: --more me--less band--more click track--less percussion ...the choice is yours! * Control all input channel send levels and panorama individually * Control all send levels of auxiliary inputs and stereo FX returns * Meter all input channel levels and the bus master for visual feedback * Connect multiple mobile devices to the same mixer simultaneously * MX-Q can be used in portrait and landscape orientations REQUIREMENTS Requires the digital mixer to be in the same Wifi network as the mobile devices
When it connects, it's incredible But...
I would give this a 5-star review if the app weren't so buggy with its connections. Six out of ten times, it works beautifully, but the other four get stuck on the blank connected screen. Or I would not even connect at all. I would say it's still in beta. The devs need to fix this minor bug, and it would Golden.
Sound not coming through headphones
Why doesn’t sound come through the headphones connected to my phone? Is there something that needs to be turned on??
App does work
Installed on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the app won’t even find the mixer. Even tried reinstalling.
Where’s orange?
On the whole this app works very well for several band situations I’m in across iOS/Android platforms and is a definite game changer, however I have a simple seeming request; I have several bands coming over to use my setup so I color coded all the cabling to 6 floor monitors and 6 vocal mics. I use r o y g b v to keep it a simple glance at the station’s color code on who to turn down and not have it have to be named/read by an individual. Trouble arises when/because orange is not a choice possible for the monitor feed or the mic channel stop labels despite the cable color choices being pretty common! Why not? Is it possible to get added? I can deal with pinkish=purple but the absence of orange is a buzzkill! Thanks for you consideration devs!
M32 board
No sound coming through the app into my headphones. Please help !
iPad mini 1 vs mini 2
This application does not work properly with iPad mini 1st generation. (I performed a test). It works properly with iPad mini 2 and up
3 years no update, I only blame Behringer
Appreciate the app, but would also appreciate if Behringer would pay the developer for an update periodically! Their hardware requires quality software to operate!
