This is Artiphon’s companion app for Orba 2 and Chorda that lets you: • Connect your Orba 2 and Chorda wirelessly using MIDI over Bluetooth • Explore and play hundreds of new sounds, as well as change keys, and tunings • Record entire songs and loops with Drum, Bass, Chord, and Lead parts • Create your own instruments and sample any sound in the world • Customize your sounds by adjusting individual part volume, add reverb and delay, and more • Perfect your song by adding Quantize, which snaps your musical phrases to the beat so that every moment fits perfectly into the groove. The Artiphon Connect app allows you to choose between over a hundred new audio-based presets. Including sounds inspired by genres like Trap, RnB, Electro-pop, Lofi, and more. With Artiphon Connect, you can now play instruments like electric guitars and upright pianos, as well as more adventurous sounds like vocals, found sounds, and custom artist songs. Imagine conducting an orchestra in the park with no strings attached and no screens required. We’re also pleased to be enhancing our Drum sampling feature, which lets you sample your world and now supports up to 12 custom samples. Build your own drum kit and add custom samples to individual pads. And you’re not limited to drum sounds, by the way: you can turn your Artiphon instrument into your own sound effects board and DJ kit. This feature has been highly requested, so we expect some crazy creative setups from all of you! You’ll also use your Artiphon Connect app to explore the new quantize feature, which snaps your musical phrases to the beat so that every moment fits perfectly into the groove. In addition, you’ll be able to mix the volume of your individual parts, add reverb and delay, and more. This app is only compatible with Orba 2 and Chorda by Artiphon. I don’t use my orba
I don’t use my orba!, mm I don’t use my orba! Mhm! I don’t use my or or or ba! My or or or ba! That is the end of my songgggg!!!
Please read
Hey! So I got one of these things for Christmas, and it’s pretty cool. The idea is cool, but the app needs some fixing. The app is really hard to navigate, you can’t delete things you have recorded, when you press the record button it takes 10 seconds for it to go, there aren’t enough customization options, it is really hard to record something new without something else playing in the background, and a lot of other things that need fixing. When you pay $150 for a device, you should get an app that helps you instead of an app that barely works. Please fix these things.
No landscape mode for iPad?
I’ve searched high and now for a way to use this app in landscape mode on iPad. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do that. Which makes no sense since the usb port is on the bottom of the iPad and in order to connect my chorda I hook it up to the iPad with a USB cable. So until there’s a landscape mode it’s almost impossible to use this app….
Unwieldy
App is … I don’t know, ok? Relying on the app for the sole way to access most of the functions is a fundamental design flaw of the Orba 2. I cannot get the thing to connect, update firmware, anything… either with a cable or via BT. So can’t change sounds, can’t access samples, can’t change keys, can’t mess with recordings, etc. Effectively I have a round, four voice keyboard… If they can get the app functioning, it would be great if they could improve quantization to be more… idk musical? The ability to choose a key is cool but only limited to maj/min … so no funky melodies or chords are possible. This, especially, should be an east fix that would greatly expand the usefulness of Orba 2, which is currently limited to a simple do-re-mi. Unless you went to the trouble of manually sampling every note for all instruments…. but then I can’t get the samples to work so….
app horrible
constant errors, can never just turn it on and use, somehow stores sounds but requires constant phone use to send it over or tell it to access it.not worth it
Orba is awesome, but app is unusable
I cannot get my Orba 2 to connect to my phone in the app. I’ve tried every suggestion on the Artiphon website, and it is not connecting. Not with usb or Bluetooth. There are multiple pages about not connecting on the forums, so this is a common problem. Orba 2 does connect with my computer and it’s a super fun little machine, but the app is unusable.
Great fun
My first Orba 2 I received had a defective battery but the situation was swiftly corrected by Artiphon. They’ve done nothing but improve the app since I’ve been using it and with all the new additions it has elevated this little instrument to something more than a toy. Keep up the innovations Artiphon 👏🏼
