I love the simplicity and straightforward approach that koala brings to the table. The new update with mixer and FX is awesome. Definitely worth the price considering everything you can do with the app. One of the coolest features is being able to split stems. Which is one push of the button you can remove just the baseline, drums or vocals from a sample. I love it.❤️

This app is amazing. The UI is so intuitive and fun to use, I haven’t been able to put it down. I mapped the pads and sliders to my MIDI controller and went berserk in performance mode. My friends’ minds were collectively blown at what I’ve been able to do with this. Thanks to the devs for this incredible instrument!

To call this app “good” would be a disservice; it has single-handedly changed the way that I make music. With the inclusion of Koala in my arsenal, I’m now able to build songs with far more variation and expand upon challenging structures that may have discouraged me in the past. The exploration of creativity is sometimes a fruitless endeavor, but with this app, my “fruit” yield is tenfold. Literally. I just cannot explain through text how powerful it is to get skilled in the use of this app. To keep it simple, you would be making a mistake if you chose not to purchase Koala as a beat maker or general musician.

I’m almost exclusively on hardware but this gem works too good with all my high end gear to dismiss it as just an app. Its a complimentary tool in your studio.

Overall it’s a great app but the piano roll is quite bad executed. It’s okay if you have 1 bar length but if you have more then that zooming and panning is very annoying, especially on phone screen. Also you have scales in play mode but no scales in piano roll, no scale root note (we can use pitch though, but why just don’t do that right way). No song mode, people do screen recordings to share songs, so weird. It’s great app but more like a toy to play around.

This is the foundation for my beatmaking process…. Don’t need a compute now…..Ipad and Koala and you can get lost ! Unlimited potential, but also so quick with the workflow!! A a superb passion project that shows thru…there is thought and soul in its crafting. Outstanding!! Legendary!!

* fixed midi mapping mute solo on mixer * bandpass mixer effect - touching the graph works properly again * high and low eq can now cut (not just shelf) when dragged all the way down * utf8 file names now render correctly in sample browser * fixed issue with midi start/stop/continue messages causing stop and play not to work on some midi devices * Make the pad drag threshold less sensitive P1 * Koala now sends midi again in auv3 when pads are pressed * fixed bug when playhead is seeked forwards in piano roll, sequencer was triggering too many notes * iCloud downloading now working with utf8 strings in sample browser * Now samples are loaded to current bank by default if spaces are available
