This Patient Controller NR app is for use with Abbott non-rechargeable (NR) devices, such as Proclaim™ SCS systems, Proclaim™ DRG therapy, and Infinity™ DBS systems. The NeuroSphere™ Patient Controller NR app was developed by Abbott for people living with chronic pain and neurologic disorders who are treated by Abbott neuromodulation devices. This application helps patients conveniently manage the programs prescribed by their physicians and uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to communicate between the implanted stimulator and the Patient Controller NR app. The Patient Controller NR app runs on Abbott recommended devices (as mentioned below) and is easy to use, while the wireless interface provides patients the convenience of managing prescribed stimulation settings from a familiar iOS device. Some of the key functions available for patients include: - Turn stimulation ON/OFF - Select stimulation programs for changing therapy needs - Adjust stimulation amplitude - Check device battery - Turn on MRI mode for MR Conditional systems - Activate and de-activate Surgery Mode In addition, NeuroSphere™ Virtual Clinic on the Patient Controller NR app enables users to connect with their clinicians for routine programming adjustments remotely. Patients no longer need to visit the clinic for adjustments to their prescribed stimulation settings. Secure in-app video chat enables telehealth sessions directly from within the PC application. Note: - This application will work on select Appleⱡ iPhoneⱡ devices running iOS 12.5.5 or later. - For a list of compatible devices see www.NMmobiledevicesync.com/cp - For the Privacy Policy see https://www.virtualclinic.abbott/policies - For the Terms of Use see https://www.virtualclinic.abbott/policies - iPod Touch is a registered trademark of Apple, Inc. - iOS is a registered trademark of Apple, Inc. - ⱡiPhone is a registered trademark of Apple, Inc. - Bluetooth is a registered trademark of Bluetooth Special Interest Group
iPhone 15 all models not supported
I have always been an Android user since I got the stimulator back in February, it felt inconvenient to carry 2 phones at all times. Decided to get an IPhone 15 to be able to use the app on it, only to find out that the phone isn’t compatible with the app. Now I have to learn how to use this phone and still carry both until someone decides to get off their behind and make the updates to the app.
Conflict with iPhone 15
I upgraded my old iPhone 12 for a 15 but the patient controller can’t be used with iPhone 15.
Please update to newer devices
App works great, but can only be used with older devices. You should not have to have a separate phone to control your device. Why is it so difficult to have this on the latest devices, especially when they have been out for quite some time? This is not a challenging fix. Please do right by your end users?
Update
App needs to be updated for IPhone 15.
Doesn’t support the iPhone 15!!!
This app changed and is not compatible with iPhone 15. Also, no one with Abbott notified me of the change and it took almost a week and a1 + hour train ride to meet a rep for support.
Android
I was told 2 years ago there was going to be an android app. Where is it? I am tired of having to use this iPod all the time.
IPhone 15 support
It has been several months since the iPhone 15 came and still have no date for that release. I had to go back to an old iPod touch that still had luckily. I had a iPhone 12 and the app was working fine but this phone update wasn't a truly update for my SCS
Added Support for iPhone 12 Pro Max, XS Max, 13 series, 14 series and SE 3. Some UI issues fixed.
