HearingAmp allows you to amplify and filter the sounds in your environment. It uses the microphone in your phone to tune the sound in real-time, producing a cleaner, crisper sound through your earphones. You can reduce background noise and amplify different frequency bands, allowing you to tune sound performance to your current surroundings. A number of preset frequency profiles are provided as templates. Users can create and modify profiles for use in various locations such as airplanes, classrooms, or crowded areas. HearingAmp uses a state of the art signal processing engine to tailor and enhance incoming sound. It provides effective noise reduction and voice amplification in any environment. If you use a Bluetooth headset, the headset quality will affect the performance of HearingAmp. In addition, its intrinsic A2DP protocol will increase the latency in real-time communication.
The app is good but…
I wish it had an on and off switch in the app. It also pauses all other media. I’d love to hear my music and other people at the same time. Edit 4/24/24: It’s just 2 buttons mate. Just put them outside the settings so I don’t need to do an extra click all the time. And if you hate my idea so much you can make it a setting just for me so you don’t have to see it.
Not easy to use
I am looking for an app for my dad to use with earphones as hearing aids, but there is a delay in the sound i the earphones, so he ends up confused, hearing some of what people are saying live, with the sound i he earphones a bit delayed. I don’t understand how this can be used to amplify people speaking in the same room without the sound becoming seriously confusing.
Free version better
I used the free version for the entire trial period and was happy with it. Just paid for it and it’s completely different. Can I just get access to the trial version again
Terrible… I tested it with my tv.
I could hear my tv better than I could the headphones. This is a straight up useless, silly toy.
Thank God
You know how hard life would have been without this app? I didn’t have the funds to afford hearing aids, so utilizing this app has gotten me through the toughest of times in all different environments for YEARS! I’m just now writing a review because I finally decided to create a go fund me to ask for other’s support in hearing the world clearly when my phone isn’t charged or near by. I wanted to tag your IG and thank you for the help over the years, but you don’t have an account, so I’ll thank you here! Thank you for this technology!
May be ok for some but.
I tried the free version a while back at home and thought it kinda worked.Yesterday in a trip in a car, I purchase the real version and was really disappointed as never could get the volume and the background settings dialed in. Guess it may work for someone in a quiet environment just not in a car.Hope everyone has better luck than I did.
Just a toy app without a hearing calibration function
Maybe it is worth $1. Petralex is better and it is free.
