The fastest way to look up which foods are High, Low or Medium FODMAP foods. 8x faster than the Monash University app*. The best way to learn and remember which foods have High, Low or Medium FODMAPs. Using modern space repetition learning games to train your brain is fun and effective. The lookup function focuses on just SPEED and ACCURACY. The two things that matter most when you are trying to follow a low FODMAP lifestyle. As soon as the app launches you can start typing and see the results as you type (an idiom called incremental searching). Looking up a food item should not be a pain, it should be FAST and EFFORTLESS. We have found that decreasing effort and friction to lookup foods leads to more lookups per user and greater knowledge and more FODMAP friendly dietary choices. * Our studies have shown that Fast FODMAP Lookup has, on average, an 8 fold reduction in elapsed time to locate a food's overall FODMAP level. Other benefits over the Monash App: - It works offline (Search) - Faster and more intuitive diary - Powerful weekly meal planner - Link with your dietitian for personalized feedback - It is gratis for you Fast FODMAP may ask for access to your step count data if you are linked with a dietitian who has requested it or you choose to enable step tracking. Collection of this data is completely optional. We integrate with Apple's Health App to achieve this. The data will be handled and used in accordance with Nourishly's privacy policy and terms of service.
Email suddenly required, no ability to tap a star for review.
I opened the app today only to be met with update requirements, including email address so I can be “notified” of updates and changes (?). Isn’t that what app updates is for? I don’t need anymore emails than I already get, thank you. Note, you can’t proceed past this point - email mandatory. I go to check the app and send a review- no option to tap a star above the review - it’s blank. I’ll be deleting this app, there are plenty other resources available. Something odd going on here.
Great so far!
Just downloaded and i am very impressed by the number of features and its even more incredible that it is free to use. This will make my journey much easier. Only thing is that i can figure out how to add a lapse to the diary and the app crashes if you press the help button.
Beginner…
Just downloaded this app. I have just jumped into it with both feet and it is user friendly, helpful, informative & to have a community to join is great. I’m glad I found this app. Just diagnosed with Crohn’s 6days ago.
Unhelpful
Well, I paid for this but I don’t live in Australia. The brand names are unknown to me, so many of the listings are useless. I don’t live in the US either so all of the advertising is just plain annoying. So: help for dealing with IBS? Practical guidelines? Easy explanations? Simple recipes? No, no and no. Lots of advertising and demands for my personal information? Plenty.
Missing many foods
Overall, I like this app. It has many great resources but is missing so many foods I look up. The most recent is escarole. Can there be a way to suggest adding foods?
So easy to use
I followed this diet 10 years ago using papers printed off. It was so cumbersome. This makes it so easy. Sad I had to return to such a restricted diet but grateful for this easy new tool.
Inaccurate
I appreciate that the app offers decent info for free. But unfortunately it inaccurately lists more than a few foods as low Fodmap. I used the app to cook and had some bad reactions — a ton of bloating and reflux. Couldn’t figure out why. I cross-checked the foods with Monash U, which is the gold standard in Fodmap research, and realized this app is not always accurate or up to date. Be careful with these lists!
