Needs sooo much work
I got these feeders 2 1/2 years ago because I have 3 cats on 2 different diets. I like the feeders but they come with a lot of headaches. First of all the app is very glitchy. I just had to delete and re add one of the feeders because I couldn’t make changes to it. Any change you do, you can’t get pass the the loading screen and it takes hours to confirm the changes because it takes that long for the changes to show up in the app. I’ve also found one cat added to another’s feeder randomly. I’m the only one who can make changes in my house, and I know it didn’t do it. Who knows how long they’re like that because I don’t get a notification, and I have to hope one cat isn’t eating all of the other cats food. Scales or app are off. Don’t have seem to have any issues with filling to proportion, but amount eaten is off. I have one cat who always eats 100% of his food as soon as it hits his bowl, but lately his profile says he’s eating 20-50 grams off a day. The microchip readers don’t always work either. I emailed to have all of my feeders put into intruder mode because the doors close slowly (even on fastest setting) and one cat will try and pull out the bowls. After about 2 weeks I had to factory reset all of my feeders because they’d close on the cats that linked to those feeders. All of the issues I’ve had recently and the annoying barely works app, makes me want to try and sell these and buy a different brand. Very disappointing after spending almost $800 on feeders. For this much money there shouldn’t be this many bugs.

This app and the smarthub have never really worked right. It fails to detect our cats going through and it never sends alerts. Additionally the hub will randomly lose connection once in a while, and then regain it. Various other changes are never detected either. The door itself works, but the app and hub are awful. We have tried working with support, even replacing the door, and nothing helped.

It’s great when it works. Lately the app has been unresponsive when trying to lock or unlock the flap. The app unlocked the flap in the middle of the night, reported pets that were sleeping on the bed has left the house and provided endless (8+) random notifications throughout the night. I’m counting on this thing to stay locked when I travel, but I’m starting to worry that I won’t really know if my pets are safe inside or not. I’m wishing it had a secondary manual latch.

I have contacted your support and received no answer! I have had to delete the app and my pets as the feeders (2 of them $$$) have not responded to the app and now I have to open them manually so my cats can eat. Better customer support PLEASE!!

Seems like I can no longer change settings for my pets bowls. The app just locks up. The pet feeders work very well, but this app makes no sense. Either put the work necessary into the app to maintain it or just forget it and we can use the website instead.

App no longer even loads. Freezes on initial screen. Entire system is a complete fail. Every time hub loses power or internet connectivity - i have to reprogram multiple feeders. System let’s cat’s that have NEVER been programmed - into feeders they don’t belong to. Quick closing feature is LOST EVERY time power or internet interruption. And all cats know they can wait and sneak into a slow closing feeder. Customer support is non existent. Whoever programmed these feeders has probably NEVER had any experience with cats. And clearly doesn’t understand how programming should persist over any and all interruptions!!!

The pet feeder? Amazing. 10/10. Keeps one of my cats from eating the pickier cat’s food. The app? Keeps saying random “cats” have joined my household and that my cat hasn’t eaten in weeks. Did a full reset of both the hub and the feeder, and now it won’t let me add my cat to the feeder. Luckily the feeder still opens for my cat, but I won’t be getting any feeding analytics in the app until it is fixed.
