This app has issues
We have two ceiling fans that are paired with this app. I am lucky if I can execute one adjustment in the app before it begins searching for the network and becomes unusable. We usually just leave our fans on full speed and just turn them on and off with the light switch as the app can be so unpredictable. I frequently check the App Store for updates and none are available. I have already had to perform factory resets on my fans that were only installed about 6 months ago. If the app worked consistently, it would have a lot of nice features. Unfortunately, it’s very finicky and frustrating.

With the brand-new fan, this app worked for me when the remote did not, which was frustratingly often. We even bought a new remote and batteries, but it didn’t make any difference. Now a year later, the remote is more finicky, and the app didn’t work at first, but then it came to life and appears to be the only way to get this fan to operate.

When I first installed the sand 2.5 years ago I had already been through another fan manufactures wifi fiasco and gave up at the first sign of trouble. I have two of te Aviator fans outdoors and figured the remote was good enough. Just a few weeks ago I tried to connect them to wifi, and to my amazement both connected and updated with barely any trouble at all. I didn’t leave a review before, but now that it works I’m happy to leave a 3 star review since the app is functional. To earn the extra two stars would require adding Apple widgets or shortcuts to the app. Thanks

It's unfortunate that their fans and lights are so aestheticly pleasing because the app is so bad that I will not buy another product of theirs. The app connects when it wants to which is less than half of the time. Want to set up your fan/ light on a schedule? Good luck and prepare for an extremely aggravating experience. Think you can just make a change on a current schedule, nah, you're going to have to delete it and start a new schedule. I know reading the above you would expect top notch engineering for the remote, surprise, that barely works also. Great design placing the magnet, that holds the remote to the wall, opposite of the battery compartment so when you put the remote on the holder on the wall, it pulls on the batteries enough that it doesn't have power. The only positive I have to give about this company are the visual design. Get past the looks and it's all garbage. I don't write reviews ever, especially this long, but I just had to because I hate this app sooo much. I hate it.

I have had to delete the app and reinstall it to reestablish a connection on 3 separate occasions. This should be remedied.

We have three Modern Forma fans which have features we enjoy (such as the breeze mode) and work reasonably well with the remotes. The app; however, is a complete disaster. It has continual log in issues that makes using it 50% at best. This problem will keep me from from recommending the fans.

1. Allow users to manually refresh the lastest firmware from the cloud. 2. Allow users to select a desired timezone, rather than following the phone timezone setting. 3. Fixed a bug that the app may cache outdated firmware from the cloud. 4. Fixed a bug that a wrong timezone is sent for Denver users.
