My Reviews Seem to Disappear
My reviews seem to be disappearing. Ir used to be I could come out and add an update. Now when I come to update a review, I have to write a new review. Since my reviews are honest and contain negative opinions, I can expect more problems with my Zmodo and Funlux cameras after submitting my honest review. I recently applied camera firmware updates to my 1080 pixel cameras and an update to the Funlux app. After a few days I was hoping to be able to write a review saying “thank you, all my complaints are finally fixed” but I can’t. Currently my Funlux app says that some of my cameras are offline and they aren’t. They are working fine according to my NVR. The problem is always with the cameras that require using a QR Code to initially put them on the network. I am wondering why the United States wants to ban TikTok but allows companies based in China to sell securty cameras with NVRs to people in USA but then push out firmware updates that make it so we need to have a smart phone device connected to the internet and China Cloud in USA to be able to conveniently access our data which is not accessible at all through the NVR on my local area network. Meanwhile China is demanding Apple to remove fully encrypted messaging apps like Signal from its App Store or China will no longer allow iPhones to be sold in China. Meanwhile, my Zmodo and Funlux cameras NVR system originally did not require internet and smart phones to be able to conveniently access all the features. Now that internet and smart phones are required, the setup is unreliable and makes me suspicious that any rogue tech from Zmodo or Funlux can knock my cameras offline At Will either out of spite because of my honest reviews or to try to get me to stop using NVR and pay way too much money for their cloud service that only Real Supremacists can afford. Smart Technology is IMO Dumb because there can be no such thing as security cameras without sovereignty. Putting a cloud connection between me and my cameras is not sovereign security at all.

Zmodo, Funlux, MeShare
So all three apps, and cameras, and NVRs, and cloud service if you are ultra wealthy, are the same company. I would prefer to use the Funlux app because it has a dark mode. However, it appears that only the Zmodo app is being maintained. Funlux app likes to not work very well and if I have to get disconnected cameras online it doesn’t work at all. Might as well use the Zmodo app. Meanwhile this company as a whole has not updated cams and NVRs since maybe 2018. They are getting passed up by other companies that offer more features and more affordable cloud service but I refuse to pay for anyone’s cloud service. I wonder if this company is fading away. Other companies claim much better night vision and more accurate motion detection alerts to actually be humans or animals instead of gnats and other flying insects at night and wind blown tree shadows during the day.
Probably Going to Cancel
This app was great years ago. Within the last few years, the notifications for detecting motion have been declining. There have been instances of it not even recording when someone is literally right in front of the camera, it didn’t give us notifications of deer outside - which is bad bc deer are big enough, and sometimes it won’t even notify us of things as big as cars out front! But it will give us notifications of little bugs flying around and the light change at dusk and dawn…bc that’s what we all want right? It’s not our cameras…we have more than 5 that all work fine, and I’ve tested whether it’s the camera or app and it’s definitely the app. This is absolutely unacceptable as this is basically security that people and families rely upon for safety and comfort. Unless something changes immediately, I’ll be looking elsewhere for something more reliable.
No Bluetooth
App works well cameras are good have had this app for going on 7 years. Suddenly one day a couple months ago the audio from the app will not play through my Bluetooth. Hope this gets fixed soon.
Stopped Working
The app stopped working. The cameras were good and it was a good purchase for many years. I was going to purchase a system for my parents but the devices are no longer supported.
