The new Carrier Home app features a contemporary look and feel that allows homeowners to control their Infinity system remotely. The app features an enhanced homeowner experience, improved functionality and increased connectivity performance between the mobile device and their Infinity home comfort system. In addition, homeowners will be able to learn more about the air quality around their home, including a snapshot of various pollutants levels and the Air Quality Index in the atmosphere near them. We update the app regularly to introduce new features and enhancements and look forward to your feedback.
After Issuing “Fix” Still Does Not Work
The new app is horrible when it works. But it has never really worked correctly. Newest update I can’t even figure out how to see or change temperature, times, days, can’t do vacation mode. If this app does that it is not obvious compared to the original app that looked like the wall unit. Now I can’t control my system except by the wall unit. No ability to make changes with this stupid worthless app. I now hate my Carrier system and tell everyone they destroyed a key feature.
Unreliable
This app is unstable garbage. Fortunately I kept the old app on my phone and it still works great. What I find is that when I update temperature profiles they don’t save. I follow the recommended procedure and save settings while working back to the main screen and my updates aren’t there. This has been going on for months so I’ve given up on this new version and only use the old one instead.
Now I need a new thermostat?????
Update 5/11/2024: Received the following from “the support team”: “ Please contact your HVAC dealer to see about replacing this A model wall control with a newer model. This model is no longer supported and has been discontinued. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.” My system is 6 years old and was the best available at the time, and now you’re telling me that I have to spend $800 - $1200 so your app will work properly with my system?!?! After 38 years of Carrier, I’m throwing in the towel on this app. Almost 2 years since the introduction of this app version, 2-years-worth of aggravation. The system works fine without it, so I won’t use it. I’ve reduced my rating to one star because of the ongoing frustration of continual promises to correct something that should not have been messed with in the first place. And, even after complying multiple times with the “support team” requests for clarification data, they don’t get it. How many times must a person provide the same info? In all the time we had the MyInfinity app I only ever gave one 5-star review because it worked, and it reflected the wall controller, which made it simple to use. Therefore, I’m done, don’t need the aggravation.

Can barely interact with the device at my house. I get notifications via email but zero information about the system is visible through the app

Poor Error Handling
Getting Message “Device Not Provisioned, Contact Support”. Support takes me to the public Carrier website. I dislike it when an App does not have proper and actionable error messages. Switching to Nest Devices
Operations
The system can not operate with the air and heating settings because it reflects the temperature in the room and not the hot or air I want. Your system should go to my set and stop. Not reflect higher or lower temp. Your owner’s manual is printed in type too small to read and pictures do not reflect print. Sorry I had your system installed.
