Vizer is an app rewarding exercise to build a healthier and stronger community - one workout and one meal donation at a time. Help fight food insecurity and download Vizer today! -- Step One: Sweat You choose your activity challenge each day - either to walk 10,000 steps, accumulate 30 minutes of exercise (exercise minutes tracked via an Apple Watch or Fitbit), or take class at a Vizer partner studio. Step Two: Give Every day you reach your goal and tap Donate, Vizer partners donate a meal on your behalf. -- Messages from the Vizer Community “I now park in the back of the parking lot to make sure I get my steps in.” Jules M. “Vizer is a win, win, win - a win for exercisers, a win for our community, and a win for local business.” Karim B. -- Cause 1 in 5 children do not have access to enough food for an active, healthy lifestyle. Vizer is on a mission to change that. All meals earned on Vizer are powered by corporate sponsors and distributed by community partners. Sponsors donate through a participating non-profit, which sources and distributes the meal to communities combating food insecurity. -- Distribution Meals earned on Vizer are distributed by partnered food banks to populations combating food insecurity. Vizer supports both independent food banks and food banks in the Feeding America network. -- Compatibility Vizer pairs with Apple HealthKit to track your activity. We track your steps through your iPhone or a compatible wearable. The exercise minute challenge is only compatible with Apple Watch and Fitbit. Stay tuned as we will be unrolling additional integrations this winter! To check in at partner studios, make sure your bluetooth is on and your location services are shared with Vizer.
The End!?
I really loved this Vizer app, and it felt so good knowing that I was contributing to good causes every evening! But now, suddenly, they're ending the program entirely!!! What the heck? Are they going out of business? Or have they just lost their ethics, and no longer want anyone else to provide charitable support through their app?
Love the mission
The idea is great and the only point of friction is that need to remember to sync to the app each day. Why can’t a sync be run in the background pulling data from my Fitbit? The # of times I miss being able to donate because I didn’t Sync is sad. Trying to be better at it but anything that can be done to automate sync from Fitbit would be great.
The good and the bad
While the app’s purpose contributes to a great cause, it’s frustrating that it’s able to tell you not to forget to donate but is not able to donate the meal after the 10k steps without the user having to select the donate tab. Steps do not always update in real time which may lead some users to think they’ve not yet reached their target goals.
It’s okay
Cool concept, poor execution. Not enough reward options and the very few participating retailers and restaurants aren’t informed of this partnership. Embarrassing for the customer when it doesn’t work and just a bad look overall. So much potential but as it sits right now, it needs a lot of improvement
Great app – good cause
I love this app because I get exercise and I get to donate a meal to those who need it. My only problem is lately. You’ve got a dollar off kombucha that pops up on the page and you can’t get rid of it except for to keep closing the app. Please take this notice off.
I love this app but….
I love everything it stands for and I am so happy to be a part of this community!! But you guys need to work on some things like notifications in front of the donate box that keep me from donating and also I have to hit the donate button 18 times before it takes… the app itself just needs to be more stable so you are not missing donations!!
