Here’s how YOU can take control of hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking (dermatillomania), and nail biting: (1) Using our HabitAware app to track encourages you to maintain your “Current Streak” for hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking (dermatillomania) or nail biting. (2) Adding the Keen smart bracelet to your recovery toolkit builds your awareness of these trancelike behaviors and empowers you to change your behavior. Here’s the details: (1) APP ONLY TRACKER We’ve specifically designed our app to allow anyone with hair pulling, skin picking, or nail biting to MANUALLY track their behavior. Just download the app for FREE and get started today. Each time you realize you are hair pulling, skin picking, or nail biting, just open the app & tap a button to track it! The data you input will help you understand patterns and triggers. Once you know WHEN the behavior is happening you can EXPLORE ways to replace the behavior and take control. (2) Join the Keen family at HabitAware.com HabitAware’s Keen is your guide to awareness. Invented by a hair puller, Keen uses patented gesture detection technology to recognize when you are hair pulling (trichotillomania), nail biting, skin picking (dermatillomania), or thumb sucking. Keen’s vibration is like a “hug” on your wrist and your “self care” alarm. As you build awareness of your restless hands and use the vibration as a cue to practice healthier soothing mechanisms, you can Retrain Your Brain. WHAT OTHERS SAY: ** "Keen has completely changed my life physically, mentally, and emotionally. I no longer pull out my hair. I am no longer looking over my shoulder... I live in peace now." - Stephanie ** ** "Keen's by far the most effective method I use to track and combat my hair pulling." - Abby ** ** "I haven’t bitten my nails or pulled my hair, and I think every dollar is worth it." - Suzanne ** ** "...really changed my life and continues to make me happier and help me control my skin picking.” - Britta ** We’re here for you, because we’ve been there: email us at [email protected] With love & awareness, Aneela (ex - hair puller) and the HabitAware Team HabitAware is a TIME Magazine Best Invention and supported by research grants from the NIH & NSF. I hate this so much
I have more than 4 stupid areas that I pull at
Bad Tracking
I accidentally pressed the button a few times, but I deleted the log. However, it still comes back once i refresh. I just set this up a few days ago, but it’s really frustrating me. This is my only problem. Otherwise, the app is good!
Out of the box experience? Not good...
So I have set up, deleted, re set up bracelet(s). They register my movement and vibrate like they are suppose to. What they won’t do? Register or vibrate when pushing the button to log, thus far rendering them useless. I just really didn’t expect to have an issue, and certainly thought starting over would have fixed the problem. So I have a “ticket” open, and will change review once I can get the things to work as advertised .
Thank God
I have pulled out large swaths of hair near he back of my head. My parents finally stepped in and got me this. I was wary, but it was quick and easy to set up and use! I have high hopes!!

Please update for 2020 Dark mode Better UI
Pretty good so far!
I've had trichotillomania for 4 years now and haven't been able to stop. Nothing's worked. And my mom found this for me and I just started using it today! So far, it's amazing! It buzzed once and my hand went flying down, away from my head. This is great so far. I have high hopes for this🤞❤️
It is helpful
I found his bracelet very helpful. I have a hair pulling issue for a long time. Ever since I got it I pulled like once in the first couple of days but since then, I haven't pulled. I have been 100+ days pull free.
