Still not fit for purpose
The app still can’t cope with the volume of members booking classes at the same time - sometimes your bookies some times your not Plus you now have the added bonus of your class etc being posted to your calendar whether you want it or not. You don’t have to choose add to calendar just choose done.
Crashes at 7am
Hi the app often freezes at 7am, so while you are booking a class with plenty of spaces, it then freezes and you end up on the waitlist
Needs more functionality
Having used Puregym’s app for a long time, I feel this app is pretty useless in terms of functionality. Unless you’re booking a class there’s no reason to have the app. Features that would make this app useable: QR code or Barcode to be used on the scanner, negating the need for a gym card always. Member count at the gym - allow you to see how many members are currently using the gym. Helps to plan around busy periods.
App crashed on update
Updated to the latest iOS and now the app has crashed.
Very poor
Always struggles at 7am bookings. Did you do any performance testing of this app? One of the worst apps on my phone, considering I pay for the gym membership I’d expect a lot better than this.
Frustrating
You cant book a class until 7am and then it frequently doesnt change straight away. At 7.01 it finally opens up saying there are 3 spaces left, which you book only to find you are on the waiting list! It doesnt matter if you go on to the app early either. I appreciate others may be trying at the same time but its extremely frustrating and disappointing!
Very poor app missing basic features
This app is one of the worst I have used. 1. No opening times for the gym 2. no timings for young adults on the gym floor 3. no pool timings (looking for family swim etc) 4. not able to book kids in classes through the app 5. no digital membership cards 6. No messaging support for non urgent questions 7. App glitches when you first join and search for a gym 8. Have to add all your data again even though you have given all details when joining, please retrieve and make people’s life easier
