This is one of the very few mental health apps I actually enjoyed
I’ve tried numerous apps for mental health from CBT, meditation, to DBT, etc. Majority of the apps have similar issues, they only offer a portion of the techniques and resources when it’s free, the techniques free are very limited in reducing anxiety or depression symptoms, their apps look extremely convoluted making it difficult to navigate, the ones that offer free tips or methods are mixed in with options you can’t unlock unless you pay for it therefore preventing users from filtering out what they actually can use if it’s free, many apps only offer meditation which I know personally can be boring but not only that the way it’s articulated makes it boring and discouraging, many apps have you talk to AI which is cool and all but sometimes those things add also annoying and they either don’t decipher what you’re saying or you’re offered options what you say. A lot of those apps don’t show you how you should initiate the process or they offer really stupid suggestions that when you read them you think “Yeah, I’m not going to drink a glass of water as a step for my mental health.” This one doesn’t give you extreme pressure and doesn’t make you pay for anything. The videos aren’t 15 minutes long and don’t suggest just to practice meditation. My only suggestion is omitting the questions about working or giving the option to answer that you don’t work. I currently don’t work and had to lie on those questions since it didn’t apply to me. I also see you currently conduct research studies and I would like to participate even though I live in the USA. I tried to email you instead with those entire response however could not find a direct listing. Again thank you for this app. I definitely will recommend it to my friends who currently suffer from many issues. If I can be of any assistance whether it’s additional feedback, help with research studies, what other individuals are seeking in regards to mental health apps please let me know.
Superb app
I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for an app before but felt i should for this app. Headgear is an excellent app, well created and very helpful. No touchy feely stuff just lots of practical advice.
We've added the ability to edit questionnaire and mood gauge responses, as well as some other minor tweaks and improvements.
