Words in Progress offers: - A unique new word game - Single player endless mode - Multiplayer asynchronous mode - Long and steady learning curve - Clean, cozy and crisp design - Fun for all ages - Multi-language support A game of Words in Progress starts with seven letters vertically aligned on the screen. It’s up you to combine these letters into words. When a letter is removed from its position and attached to letters in another row, the empty spot is filled with a new letter from your pile. When you submit a word, the same thing happens. Words in Progress has a few game modes: single player Endless mode, Practice mode, and Multiplayer mode. In single player Endless Mode, you try to stay in the game as long as possible. To prevent your letter pile from emptying and going game over, you will need to complete different word-length challenges. In Multiplayer mode, you and your opponent both have 40 letters to start with. Will you add new letters to words that are still in progress to try and create a long word, and risk ending up with an incomplete and invalid word? Or will you succeed, and reap the high reward for long words? Playing it safe by ‘cashing in’ shorter but valid words is another strategy to consider, but you'll have to play smart to defeat your opponent!

In the middle of my game "Server Error" pops up and my game disappeared. Hopefully, no more glitches. Other than not having chat the game has been decent.

It’s fun and quick but the restrictive word library made me uninstall. Funnily enough “Penile” was the last straw for me. Cmon. It was just one of many legit non-offensive words that either destroyed my chances in a head to head or endless mode game. I’ll reinstall once this is fixed.

The letters provided do not seem random. If you have a specified number of letters to make a word the supplied letters seldom show up. Also the blank tile does not allow you to select the letter you want, it just selects a valid word from a dictionary.
United States“sexual” is not an offensive word
I was really enjoying this game until I discovered that “sexual” was not a valid word. Really? I wonder if words such as “gun”, “stab”, and “murder” are valid words? My guess is they probably are. So this app accepts words associated with violence while censoring the word “sexual”? 1 star is too high. My word to the developers: wake up and check your moral compasses.

As much as I love word games, the blank tiles ruin the game. They do not, as the instructions say, automatically create a word, there is no way to change what they represent once they give you an “option,” and a computer is not a mind reader so the game has no idea where I am going with using the blank tile. Looks like it has the bones of a fun game but not there yet. Now, how do I turn off the online game? Not everything has to be social!

I really love this game and it’s great for passing some time. One issue I have with it is from time to time, common words are not recognized which can be a real bummer when you’re building towards one. If it weren’t for this, I’d be giving the fifth star all day!
