Since 2016, astronomers have been searching for a large, distant planet to explain the unique orbits of objects in our solar system. In THE SEARCH FOR PLANET X, a tabletop board game from Foxtrot Games, you will take on the role of these astronomers, using observations and logical deductions to search for this distant planet. The game uses a companion app to randomly choose a location for Planet X and other objects, following predefined logic rules. As the earth travels around the sun, you will interact with the app to perform various research actions. You'll note what you learn on your deduction sheet, and you'll be able to piece together all the available information to publish theories and score points. THE SEARCH FOR PLANET X captures the thrill of discovery, the puzzly-nature of astronomical investigation, and the competition inherent in the scientific process.
Cannot Silence
There don’t seem to be any settings for the app, to disable sound. Worse, it somehow manages to play sounds even if I physically silence my phone! How is that even possible?
Great game
My and my grandma love playing this game and it is super fun
Pointless app
The app doesn’t keep track of turns or play for the AI in single player. I’m not even sure why they decided to make an app for this game, honestly.
Works perfectly
No complaints. It’s a great board game and the app compliments it perfectly.
Great Game & App!
We play hundreds of games a year, and this one is very polished and well put together. Highly suggested if you want a good time :). ONE COMMENT: we each were using our own phones for the app. We had a couple cases of “fat fingering”, and we would like a way to review the picks in the history tab. (Or at least review the choices history after the game is done, which it doesn’t let you do in the history tab)
Excellent
Very well-done. Simple and perfect. I'm not the biggest fan of apps in my boardgames, but this one does everything right.
Works perfectly
