1.Tutorial has no “back” button 2.Tutorial mentions “inland” and “coastal” but highlighted spaces that were obviously on the coast, but called “inland” without explanation 3. Tutorial mentions rare case of population growth… firstly, define population growth, secondly, why even mention this now? 4. Tutorial has no exit button. I have to close the app to get back to the main screen. I downloaded the app ready to pay for the full experience, but seeing how little care was put into it so far, I’m not going to bother

Thanks for a great board game to app transition. Add the ability to pinch zoom in to text for major/minor cards and action selection row on character cards and this game will be an absolute five stars.

The game was put together well and plenty of different options, spirits to play with. I was looking forward to it. But am finding it too hard, too discouraging even with easy options selected. I want to enjoy the little time I have available to play.

As a physical board game, this is one of my favorite games. This digital version is quite good, and honestly my sole complaint is that when a game is won or lost it immediately jumps away from the board to an end screen "summary" and doesn't let you actually look over the final board state, look over what cards you had chosen for that spirit and how that and event cards/fear cards affected things, think about strategies for future games, etc (which is something I deeply enjoy doing when playing the physical version with friends)

I have played the original at least 25 times. I was eager to try this app and see its worth. Truth be told, if they didn’t have that 2$ pass to access everything, I would have never consider buying it. However, I am glad that I gave it a try. I did not encounter any bug and was impressed by how efficiently every card’s quirky power is handled. I had not realized how much work it would take to adapt a game like Spirit Island. They did a good job. All in all, I recommend it. I love the board game so much that I wish we could have had an adaptation by a more professional studio like DireWolf. I would have loved to have a reworked esthetic of SI like they did for Root. Especially at the 40$ price tag asked for Spirit Island… I am glad to support a small studio, but I wish everything looked better. Perhaps they can work on that when they will have everything added in.

Changing review to 5 stars now that offline support is fixed according to the recent patch notes. I haven’t tested yet, but exciting to see responsive devs.

- Fixed a crash with using Unrelenting Growth with Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds, then using Undo in certain situations. - Generating too much Fear after earning Terror Level "Victory" in a single action no longer causes the game to get stuck. - Fixed a problem where multiplayer games with Rising Heat of Stone and Sand could get stuck in growth in certain situations. - Unleash a Torrent of the Self's Own Essence now allows Ocean's Hungry Grasp to deal damage in an inland land. - Fixed a problem where Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds was not able to properly undo some of their growth in certain situations. - The game no longer gets stuck when you attempt to disable an elemental threshold that is required for later thresholds (e.g. Shadows Flicker Like Flame's first threshold). - Blazing Renewal now works properly with Badlands when used by Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares. - Quick Play no longer sometimes generates a game with the thematic map laid out incorrectly.
