Aw
8 year old game, left a fresh impression. Good times
An experience
This game blew me away. The art is detailed and beautiful enough to have every one its frames a painting. The music was incorporated into the story, and you can even collect soundbites that can be played together. This idea could have been developed further, but it’s definitely better than most games where collectibles are an afterthought only worth it for completionists. The puzzles can be unintuitive, but I personally enjoyed the challenge.
Happy that I kept at it
I downloaded this game but every time i tried to play it i felt frustrated that i didn’t know what to do, still i kept it and from time to time tried it again until i got the hang of it. Then the fun started. Some puzzles are easy and some are not, that i played in an iPhone didn’t help cause some details are very small. After all that I enjoyed the game a lot and the music is a big part of the charm. I had to give it five starts because i fell in love with the sweet little guy.
Truly the best point and click adventure I’ve ever been on
I cannot express enough how much this game is exquisite and beautiful and haunting and challenging and I am a 90s kid who comes from a rich experience of point and click games puzzle solving and world building and this game scratched all the itches I didn’t even know I had. The MUSIC AND SONIC ART really sold the hyper real art style and I was there. In the game, from the very beginning. The immersion was so effortless and alien yet seamless. Yet as I began to play, I began to feel the mechanics of point and click games I played in my earliest of childhood. I didn’t even realize there was a hint cheat book build into the game itself until I had already finished the game and gotten stuck several times and almost gave up and looked up a walk-through but instead, I just thought about it more and revisited the spaces and figured it out without hints or help of any kind. I’m sure some people with shorter attention, spans or tolerance for getting frustrated and stuck on things that aren’t necessarily intuitive but that’s what makes it a challenging puzzle game lol I liked having to really puzzle and think and step away and come back. My only critique is that the zooming makes it a bit hard, sometimes to interact with all the parts of the world, and sometimes accidentally covers of arrows to allow you to move to the next space unless you zoom out you wouldn’t even know that they were there and it doesn’t seem like it’s part of the game. It feels like a glitch and it was the only thing that took me out of the experience but I’m still give me a five star is because it is so dang good. This game will stay with me for a long time. It is so wonderful. I never write reviews yet here I am, that’s how good this was.
Samarost 3
Do you need Backbone Support? We want to use a controller. This game is amazing but I can’t do it with my fingers.
So worth the learning curve
Absolutely fantastic :) I loved the difficulty of some puzzles — it really kept me thinking even when I wasn’t playing, I was still trying to figure out how to make certain things work. It made it that much more rewarding when I figured it out. I love mixing the music at the end :) I never knew all the bubbles that I had to collect along the way, Were essentially tracks to be mixed together :) Definitely going to try the other two titles :)
Great Game
This game has great graphics and gameplay the only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t fit the whole Iphone screen
