Excellent Review
This app is excellent for all players. Sometimes I don’t know the correct answers but the explanations help me learn and reinforce. I just wish there was more variety in the categories. I like the presentation, size of cards and color. This app is easy to use and fun to practice. I would recommend this app. to beginners and intermediate players. Beginners will find it difficult but with repetition they will catch on.
Not for Beginners
First the positives: great graphics and speed; good variety of question categories; The negatives: too advanced for beginners (the answers include knowledge and use of all conventions and lead strategies which are only mentioned not explained); while there may be pool of 500 questions, only 20 questions are asked making the advertising somewhat misleading.
Needs better answers & proof reading
This is only valuable as a learning tool and a great concept, but the answers often leave me scratching my head. A bolded item in the answer has a definition but a phase like "partner call" has both words in bold. Click on them and you get two definitions, which are trite. What does "partner call" mean? Who knows. An explanation of a wrong answer misdescribes the card holding, mentioning an honor that is not in the hand. Perhaps this is best used a fun exercise by more advanced players.
Great for building skills

Confusing
There are definitely some good moments, but after explaining that a bridge hand has an auction then the play, it says it is using the Rouhi convention with no explanation or help anywhere to learn what it is. Then even though it's not on the list of conventions they say will be used, I got the answer wrong on one hand because the Roubensol convention (spelling isn't right) was called for. I've never heard of this and no help is provided.
Great teaching but sharp learning curve
This app I s great. I have learned a lot. However, I wish it would recalibrate when a user doesn't know some of the basic terminology which the app utilizes. It has a glossary though which is very useful. I'd like to score 20/20 on beginner questions and then move to more difficult stuff. Maybe a video demonstration of the conventions it teaches when you get it wrong. Keep up the good work!
