Amazing App for those who love to cook and bake
This app is fabulous. The features are very well thought out. I use it to help meal plan for the week. It keeps the recipes that I find online organized. There is even a feature that converts the ingredients list into a checklist! Thank you for such a fabulous app!
AWESOME!
This is an AWESOME app! EASY! No nonsense! I love it! Easy to add recipes (several ways). Easy to access/use recipes. Easy to share with family. Until this app, I had cookbooks, binders and random recipes that I gathered… now, I can put them all here.
Great Design
I downloaded Umami towards the end of last year and quickly made the decision to purchase a subscription to unlock more features. I had a particular vision for how I wanted to organize recipes and share with family and this was the only app I could find that perfectly suited my needs. It has run smoothly and performed well and I would totally recommend it to others to try.
Everything about this app is amazing
I love all of the features that this app has to offer, importing and creating recipes is quick, easily accessible, and streamlined so you don’t miss a step. The UI is clean and synonymous with IOS, which is something I appreciate for no reason at all. The grocery list is great, it’s easy to edit item categories and other information. I have no negative things to say about this app, all features are great, only requests for additional features in hopes of it becoming a better app. - I would love if there was a general ‘Calendar’ instead of only a meal plan “calendar”. The meal plan feature is extremely useful but a general Calendar that incorporates all of the meal plan features would be the most useful. - More customization with cookbooks! Cover photos, index pages, maybe side bar subcategories? The ability to tag recipes is great! But a cleaner cookbook page would make finding recipes a little easier!
Way prefer to Paprika - mostly
I’ve only just downloaded it and imported all my recipes from Paprika. Although I own Paprika, I intend to buy Unami once my trial ends. Two features I’d love (or haven’t found) is the ability to rate recipes. At the moment I’m using separate lists (5 stars, 4 stars, Yuck…). When I’m adding meals to my menu, I’d like to be able to see what days are empty. This view exists when I’m in “Meals” but not when adding. Everything else seems perfect so far.
After so much frustration with other apps, I am in love
I happen to see a comment on a Reddit post about this app. I’ve been through so many recipe apps in the past, I finally had resorted to just keeping recipes in my notes. I love the ease I can import recipes from websites, I love being able to enter my own recipes and I love being able to meal plan & create my grocery list in one place. Thank you so much for this app!!
Love this app
I don’t remember if I reviewed yet or not. I love this app, though! My only “big” request is if we could create undated Meal Plans, just Day 1, Day 2, etc. that we could copy to a future week. So we can easily copy meal plans to another month.
When importing recipes by URL, you can now paste the URL with a single tap. Thanks for the feedback, happy cooking!
