Never Works Without Needing Repair
Almost every time I try to use the grill and wi-fire system the wi-fire does not work. Has not worked right since the day I bought it. I typically need to reset the grill each time I use it, or I need to upgrade the App, or I need to delete and reset the grill. I have had to call customer service multiple times. The grill does not work as advertised and is not worth aggravation. Cooks well without the Wi-Fire, if the wi-fire worked it would be a great grill.

This app, the pairing process to a WiFi and everything associated with it is an absolute disgrace. Every time I need to connect to a new Wi-Fi, the journey of horror begins again. “Oh yeah we have problems with iPhones, HomeKit, 5g in general, and pretty much anything that has to do with WiFi” Just because the company tried to save probably 12 cents on a proper module. I literally have to keep an 7 year old iPhone SE to make it work. And even then it’s a hassle. I’m getting rid of this smoker and hope that I never have to cross paths with this company again.

I absolutely love my Traeger grill. I have the Timberline 850. It is so easy to use and I can use it all year-round. I live in a climate that gets very cold in the winter so I put it in my garage and use it there. it works great. Hooking up the Wi-Fi was very easy and I haven’t had any problems since got it going. I cooked two briskets on it for my daughters wedding rehearsal and played 18 holes of golf that day. I was 40 minutes away from home and was able to monitor it. I am so happy I pulled the trigger on that purchase

When I want to find a recipe, I know what protein I have but I also have limit on cook time. There should be multiple constraints for the search. I wanted to use my Treager this week but I have limited time. I could not search time and meat to get recipes that would work for my family and allow me to go to the grocery store one time vs every single day.

App is good for recipes and methods but doesn't work well for real life cooking. There is no pause function so if a recipe calls for some steps between time the timer keeps going automatically from steps. Also once a recipe has started there is no easy way to look to see what the next steps are. You have to wait exit out and go back to the recipe or search for it again all while the cooking is going on
