The juice isn’t worth the squeeze
I gave the app one star, echoing the litany of complaints I’m seeing on here: - the screeners are a huge time waster. I’d say I only get past at most, 5% of the screeners to qualify for a paid UI test - typical example: I answered a 12 question screener only to be told that I don’t qualify since I don’t speak Mandarin - keep in mind that the UI tests are done in a test environment grafted onto your browser. This can make for a lot of bugs, it’s common to get booted out and fail to finish the exercise. This results in cancellation of payment, which happened in about 50% of my tests - when an app is polarizing this usually means the 5 star reviews are fake, which I strongly suspect is happening here
Review
I am yet to start taking test but judging from the demographics I took so far, I’m confident it’ll be a good way to share honest opinions and get paid
Sign Up Form Issues
Cannot get passed the setup username screen.
The UX of this is so odd
Why should me tests outside of the U.S if you don’t want people from the USA? Twice I have gotten a “test” with screener questions. It asks “where you from” I select USA and it says “sorry you don’t meet the Requirements”. Maybe don’t show those test to people in the USA?
User friendly review
It was easy to set up. Now hoping to start soon.
Can't update PayPal
I received the notification that I need to relink my PayPal. I need to change the email address, but there's no way to do this. I won't start any surveys until I can take care of this.
There is an error in the app that they do nothing to fix
If you sign up and your PayPal is unverified it will prompt you to verify your PayPal. However, upon verifying it appears to be self-referentially deciding your PayPal is already in use when it tries to link to your newly verified account, and throws out an error. Unfortunately, the feature to change your PayPal is also broken so the applicant gets stuck. You cannot delete your app and start over though, because the deletion explicitly states you will never be allowed an account again. I have been submitting requests for error resolution for two months now and get nothing but a cookie-cutter “we have forwarded the issue to our engineering team” response. If you are signing up, make sure your PayPal is verified BEFORE you start your app or you will get stuck in an error loop. There is entire Reddit thread dedicated to the error. I do find it ironic that an app dedicated to usability testing has such severe issues with usability and error response.
