Meeting your needs: - If you want to become an AIB customer and need a current account, you can open an AIB account on the AIB app if you're aged 16 and over, live in the Republic of Ireland and have a valid passport or other acceptable Photographic ID. - Personal Loan: Use the app to apply for a personal loan or loan top-up, up to €30,000. - Overdraft: Apply for an overdraft in your app in minutes. - Credit card: Apply in your app in minutes. Making and managing payments has never been easier: - Pay another AIB customer with Pay a contact using just their phone number. Maximum transfer is €1,000 - Simply pay another Irish bank account with a one-off payment up to €1,000 - Avail of Apple Pay, & Fitbit Pay. - Quickly manage standing orders & debit debits - View, print, save & share up to seven years of statements. Can not use the app unless I have notifications on. I get logged out from my own bank account. Joke of an app.
Loop of Doom
To anyone having trouble with the loop of doom aib app, I deleted the app and reinstalled and for some reason it now works. Hurrah
Fix the app
I understand the need for security and extra layers to help stop fraud/theft etc. but when it locks you out of your own account and you fill in all the details and text codes for it just to fail anyway is very annoying. The app works when it gets set up but if something goes wrong it goes wrong! Then the whole app is useless until you fix the issue

I can't even open the account so I'm not sure this app even has a purpose.
Dire - embarrassment to Irish tech
Doesn’t work - truly awful technology. The team behind this - whether executives or technical - should resign immediately and work in another field
App used to work. Now it seemingly does not work
App is so safe you can’t even access your own money. How do we let AIB know their app has become inoperable ?
Terrible
Horrendously designed app with zero common sense. I can not check at my transaction unless I have notifications on. I can not activate them on my new IOS so only way for me to check my transactions is on a laptop or a PC. Design super counterintuitive- please leearn from someone like Chase, Bank of America or even Wellsfargo.
