Stopped functioning with the iOS update 14.1
After I updated my iPad to iOS 14.1, It has been rendered useless as it will no longer display any files. No amount of fiddling with settings or app updates (the apple version is 4yrs old) fixes the problem. Come on Sandisk, update the app and fix this.
Great storage option
I purchased the SanDisk Media Vault to expand my iPad storage and to be able watch movies while I’m traveling. It works great, has good battery life and lets me share access to the device with other members of my family. I also like the fact that I can insert an SD card for even more storage capacity. Great accessory to my iPad.
SOLVES MY IPAD PRO “PROBLEM”
I purchased this device years ago to use with my iPad Air. But, that iPad screen was too small, so I never really used it as a laptop replacement and put the SanDisk in a box never to use again. Fast forward - I recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 hoping I could use it as a replacement for my 2012 MacBook Pro (still very usable, just wanted something else). Everything online, and every person (even Apple), assured me there’s no way to transfer Word or other docs (other than pics, videos) using a thumb drive. I’m here to tell you, NOT TRUE. I have no problem transferring files to my SanDisk from a computer (e.g. at work), connecting my iPad Pro to the SanDisk via wi-fi, opening, AND UPDATING Word and PowerPoint. Solved my problem. This device, iCloud services, combined with the 12.9 screen on the iPad Pro allow me to use my iPad Pro as a laptop replacement.
Good device
Very good easy to use device for both apple and android platform. Very convenient option with SD card ability Only disadvantage I have is application does not allow to choose an application to read video files. The default one can not read some video codecs, subtitles
Great and all but...
Why is the app 40.7mb to start out with but the it adds up to around 3-400mb, even though I do not have anything stores in it on iPad memory?
Lifesaver on family road trips
Everyone got to watch whatever they wanted, good battery life, conveniently small.
Very practical
I like it and use it a lot, works great with all the devices. I love the SD card reader incorporated.
