Breakthrough DTS Play-Fi(R) technology powers simple, great-sounding whole-home wireless audio systems for smartphones and tablets. You can stream your favorite tunes over Wi-Fi right from the Pioneer Music Control App to speakers from DTS Play-Fi product partners. It's a huge step up from Bluetooth - the audio quality and reliability are outstanding, and you can enjoy music from your phone in one room, or all your rooms. The "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" listening experience is just a touch away, thanks to this handy app. Choose a speaker, choose a song, and your favorite tunes are streaming all through the house. The app offers built-in streaming options: stream from worldwide music services; connect to DLNA servers, or play anything from your device's music library, including your iTunes playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you. Please also note that the Pioneer Music Control App is companion software to audio products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.
Great idea TERRIBLE execution
When the app works, it’s quite good. Unfortunately, most often it wakes up in an entirely new world and can’t find the Pioneer Elite receiver that’s on the EXACT same network that you’ve now set up for a 20th time.
Works but loses connection with music source
Works but loses connection with music source
Yup
Same problem as the other guy.
Another useless app used a marketing tool
Always looks great on the box at the store but when the runner hits the road, this app spins completely out of control. When I open the app it’s says “connect to a WiFi network”. Hmm. Well I’m pretty sure I am yet it seems to think rats come from a time/space rupture. Good lord lads, just take this off the App Store already!
Doesn’t work
Says “Ease connect to a WiFi network” but I am already attached to my WiFi,,,
Play-Fi stopped working
It was all good till the moment when Play-Fi stopped working on my Pioneer VSX-103. No sound is coming from my speakers but I can stream via Apple TV though
Fails to play tracks to the end
It often skips from the middle of a track to the beginning of the next. This makes it pretty much unusable.
