Test section glitch
The test section just have squares and answer choices are completely blank
Not amazing
No sounds. No flash cards. Just flat text and a hard test you could make yourself. Don't waste money on this.
Amazing?
Read only with tiny characters. Only counts to 20? I'd settle for less than a 🌟but, cannot.
Does not pronounce or check pronunciation
The app is a read only app. The app does not pronounce the alphabets or test the correct pronunciation
Perfect!
This app has helped me so very much! I can now read Devanagari and I feel so proud, on a good path towards learning hindi. (Or हिन्दी) :D
Great for starters! (Update)
I'm learning Hindi as a child would: first I learned a lot of conversation (with the Pimsleur Approach), now I'm learning to read. This app has been most helpful in accomplishing that. I love the tests! And everything is fairly well explained. Would give 5 stars if there were more reading lessons added AND if i could swipe thru the lessons instead of having to go back and forth all the time. PLEASE, this should be an easy fix!
Could be better
I wish learning Hindi was more popular! There are so many great apps for European languages, Japanese, Chinese and more. None of those apps have Hindi versions. This one is not so good. There's no sound so if you don't know how a word should sound, you will learn the wrong pronunciation as you learn to read. There's no structure to the learning either. They give you the information and you basically have to commit it to memory on your own for the test. If you get one wrong answer on the test, it kicks you out and makes you start over. There's nothing enjoyable about it. There's also no writing instruction so unless you have a fundamental understanding of the written language already, writing out the words to help yourself remember them is asking for trouble. It's harder to un-learn bad habits than it is to learn it correctly the first time. Going to keep looking and beg some app developers to add Hindi to their list of languages. Very disappointed.
