No uniform delivered from Walmart and I was kicked out.
Only downfall is if you aren’t ready for your first shift ie no uniform. I was anticipating my uniform being delivery by 6am for a start time of 9am. And I lost access to the whole app, all shifts because I missed my first shift.

This is not a good app to bet your bottom dollar on. They DON’T CARE about you. They will literally give you a point or fire you for canceling a shift EVEN if you cancel it within 24 hours and contact support about it. I hate companies that don't care about their workers. Support also takes hours to answer you. They need to grow more sympathy for people who have emergencies and cannot make a shift, people are human and things happen. Do NOT recommend this app.

Unfortunately due to the heavy rains and storming in my area I was unable to make it on time for one shift. I waited for a clear path but the storm continued. So I pulled over to give it time as I could hardly see and had previously spun out in my car in bad weather. Keep in mind that I never missed a shift , never had a problem with the contractor nor had I ever arrived late. Due to my naïveté I was blinded by a “team” I thought supported me as the contractor would praise my work. Well to my surprise the one day I am expecting to be late in arrival for weather safety reasons— I opened the app so I can reach out to the contractor/on-site supervisor but my account has been disabled. Upon realizing this I tried to explain my side but Upshift not their support did not care. Instead of hearing out one of the people needed to keep your contracts going you don’t hear me out at all instead I am reminded of your policy and threatened with more strikes. I did not double down because I know I was a valuable asset to the company. They did not agree instead, they gave me about 6 more strikes which I didn’t even know it was possible.. and the reason behind it was involving a private conversation I had with my supervisor who waited until I was late to the shift or “no show” to make up a lie about me bending the rules, which never happened so in turn, I believe those strikes were removed after my complaints but not the main three strikes that got me banned to begin with. So not only was I betrayed by upshift for not hearing me out, I was betrayed by my supervisor who was in contact with them, lying to make sure that I was unable to return, because I wanted to ensure of my safety for arrival. I thought for once I found a gig in a way to make money on my own terms, but I was wrong you’re not a contractor you work for upshift to make that money and if you mess up your gone. So, after about a year, I decided to reach back out to upshift support thinking it may have changed since I was last working with them, and I also received my W-2 by email. After reaching out to them, I was basically given the same excuse of why I’m not eligible to have an account, because I received three strikes even though I had no prior instances, and no one wanted to hear me out, no matter what I say or do to prove my side, they chose not to listen then, and I’m believing to think that no matter what the circumstances they will not listen. I see several other comments left behind of people complaining of similar things however, you all get the same reply to reach out to the support team, which intern I am more than likely sure they provide you with the same exact answer that your account has been banned, and the reason why they think it should be, but not hearing you out or not giving you any options on how to regain access. Totally unfair. Just a reminder to anyone who decides to download this app and use it anyways. you can die driving to work and your account will be permanently banned because they do not care. They wouldn’t even called to check up on you to see what happened. Just get rid of you. You’re just another number.
