Horrible
I’ve herd about this app online, me, being in need of a job decided to give it a try. At first I waited about two weeks for them to verify my account. Growing tired of waiting I gave a call to consumer service. It helped verify my account. The reason why this app is getting a one star rating from me is because even after having the app for almost two months I am always met with the same “All shifts are full” screen. It is impossible for you to get a gig out of that app. Please save yourself and make money with a different platform. Bacon will never give you an opportunity.
Fraud
Never have ANY shifts available ever
Bacon not secure with personal info
It’s insane the level of stupidity this company has if they think I’m going to send them photos of my ID and screenshots of my phone, just to update my phone number What’s the recourse when some hacker busts into their system and sells personal data on the dark web? Oh right, there won’t be any.
They didn’t pay me
Worked a 12 hour shift, it’s been one month since and I still haven’t got paid. I emailed them and they lied about my payment due date twice now. I called them and left a voicemail and they never called me back. Don’t trust this app to put money towards your rent. This app made me late on my rent. I even told them I’ll take them to small claims court for the money that is rightfully mine. It’s illegal not to pay your employees the money they worked for.
TERRIBLE. SCAMMERS
I downloaded this app because I was in between jobs and needed some funds to last until the next one started. I only had the app for about a week or two and I couldn’t even do ONE shift. I signed up as a backup for a shift and showed up on time per requirements. I was turned away because the actual worker showed up, which is cool of course. Bacon is supposed to pay you $15 after your hours are verified by the company you signed up for turns you away. I was not awarded this. The company I signed up for “The Grill LLC”, never signed off on me showing up. When I contacted them, they claimed to have been having issues, and MARKED ME AS A NO SHOW. I had proof that I’d shown up and even gotten a response from the company when I did. I tried contacting bacon support, sending them ALL of my proof, and they dismissed me and said they’d wait for the company to reach out. Only thing is… it had been 1.5 weeks since I initially reached out to the company. Once I explained this through email, they ignored me and never responded. Not only that, they NEVER pick up the customer support line. TERRIBLE APP. SCAMMED ME OUT OF TIME AND MONEY. BE WEARY AND DONT USE.
1 STAR
I was one of the first users. I’ve been using this app off and on since it started. Probably worked 100+ shifts. It’s gone downhill. This app is so poorly developed it’s almost an embarrassment. You’ll randomly get 50 notifications one after the other for the same shift, or you’ll get notifications for shifts posted a week ago. Very low paying jobs usually falling in the $10-15/hr range. The hourly wage shown is not actually what you get paid… the app charges around .60 cents an hour for some type of mandatory “insurance”.
Bacon app
Me and a couple friends use this app to work through and this app is having a lot o bugs lately and if u try to call they don’t answer u even sending an email, they took more than 1 day to answer you. Also is saying that they open at 8:30AM. How do u open at 8:30AM but doesn’t have any employees to answer someone?
• Added archiving and auto-archiving of messages for past shifts • Added improved notifications for deactivated accounts • Fixed issues that could prevent clocking in to shifts
