Getting worse instead of better
Our company originally went to Nutshell as our CRM because of it’s Mac like interface and it’s competitive pricing. When i talked with them (before deciding on using Nutshell), they said they were a Mac company. After a promising start, their Apple support (across all platforms, Mac, iPad and iPhone) has steadily went downhill. The Mac application (really just a browser) had not been updated since 2015 and now crashes multiple times each day. Even when it works, it has many things on it that needs help (another review mentioned how clicking on the search function was almost impossible, I can confirn that was the case). The iPhone and iPad version are way too basic. It is hard to impossible to do some tasks on the application that we need to do. When you use Safari on either device (to be able to do the things you can’t do on the application), it redirects you to the mobile version that is exactly the same as the application, so you still cannot use all functions. So, while I have the large iPad Pro, it is no more use to me than if I were working off my phone. I always send the reports to Nutshell on the crashes and problems. many times i also send my phone number and email address for them to call if the have questions. No one ever calls. If you are a sales organization, choosing the right CRM is critical. I am very worried we made a huge mistake (we live off our CRM). While I can export some data and import into a new CRM, it will never be the same (nots, uploaded documents, picture etc.). I am searching now for my best alternative. A couple of the reviews talk about the high price of this product. If your business REALLY needs a CRM, this is priced right BUT it is starting to feel like they do not care about the Apple community (no idea how well the windows side works). As much as I would like to recommend, I cannot until they get their act straight. The business level CRM field is very crowded and Nutshell really needs to up their game to stay (be) competitive.

Had nutshell a little over a year now and our business would be much much less organized without it. This makes our entire email marketing business accessable from any device and drives sales. The Support team is very responsive and actually implements suggested features. This is crazy cheap comparing to competitors and is well worth your money if you make just one more sale off it.

This app version of their site works well but needs to be updated to catch up to the in browser edition. Mainly the call buttons that appear in the browser don’t appear in this SSB. Also some attention should probably be given to the memory consumption as I’ve seen it go as high as 900MB after an hour or two of use.

Great job guys! Thanks for creating this. Superhelpful to have as its own area instead of inside a browser. One bug. When you click on wallboard, how do you get back? UPDATE: I have changed my review to two stars. It has become unusable. For some reason clicking in the search field (which is done hundreds of times a day) is unreliable. I find myself pressing all around and clicking everywhere to be able to reliably click in the search field. So frustrating I had to uninstall. Please fix Nutshell peeps. Something is VERY broken.

It’s not going to integrate with other systems and it’s a one size fits all application but if you’re a small business looking to build a CRM, this is a very simple tool that allows a lot of basic customization and requires a very short learning curve to get started. For those complaining that it’s not free, you need only go to their website and do a little research. The site details that it is a 14 day free trial. That’s enough time to evaluate it.
