The goal of Log-Book is to create entering car mileage as simple and quick as possible but still be compliant with the tax departments’ requirements. Once you have used Log Book a few times you will be able to enter a new trip in THREE taps (and that's including the tap to save it). We use this app and apart from trying to fix how to stop us forgetting to do it we wanted to make the process as quick as possible because lets face it, everyone wants to spend as little time as possible doing things like this, regardless of how pretty or feature rich the app is. To speed up a trip entry you can add your own common start, destination and purpose entries. The date and start odometer are entered automatically. There are no pretty graphs, fancy reports or a multitude of settings, just simple, quick entries. All entries can be exported to a CSV file for manipulation (graphs and wiz-bang formulas) in a spreadsheet. Features details: - Add entries for each trip including distance, places, reasons and general notes. - 1 to 3 taps for a new entry - Include start and end times, if required - Export to CSV - PDF by month, last month, last 3 months, last year, or all - Email CSV and PDF - Popup monthly summaries
Avoid
Looked like the simple manual entry mileage log I was looking for. Freezes after most data entry, takes up to a minute before I can enter the next field. I’m sitting in my driveway for 5 minutes trying to set up my trip. I emailed and developer seemed interested in helping but after a week of no response I asked again and was told I might as well delete the app. So I did.
Update Ruined App
The most recent update has ruined the app! Can’t save new trips, and there is a lag in time when inputting any data! App constantly hangs up and stalls out. Something is definitely not right now!
Legitimately of App
The app worked as needed but I question if it’s legitimate since I can’t find it in my settings including notifications. This is very odd!
Spot On
This app is wonderful. Easy to use and get the reports. With a recent update I can now get the report for a selected timeframe. 1 day, 30 days, 34 days, whatever. Thanks again for keeping it simple yet effective.
Upgrade messed it up
Since the update it doesn’t work. It would not put where you started as where you ended the last time, it lists the exact, same mileage, it doesn’t calculate what your normal mileage would be, half the time it gives you error codes for no reason, I finally deleted it
Upgrade messed it up
Since the update it doesn’t work as well. Too much to explain why
Was great but now not so much
I loved this app and have used for several years. The simplicity was great. I always export to csv so I use in Excel and update my logs. But the recent update has me looking for another app. While it looks better visually, entering trips is more difficult and they broke the exporting to CSV. I’m hoping they’ll fix it as it works just great for me. Otherwise I may be moving on.
- Added a warning if an entry distance appears to be excessive. - Streamlined the input method for entry Locations and Reason - New input method allows for location and reason editing. Adding, deleting, favourite and renaming (long press) can be performed within any entry. - Removed Location and Reason data management from Settings. Now performed in any entry.
