Really interesting service
A little clunky at times, but good instructions. It takes a little longer than a few mins. But once done - it’s done. Useful.
This app seems like it could be very helpful, although I think physical ID is more desirable.
I personally think this app would be very useful if it was more mainstream and if every business used it, at the moment, I think physical ID is still more desirable and that is what you should use to verify yourself.
Not accepted by Post Office!!
Wonderful system but no Post Office knows about the App and therefore doesn’t accept it. Ok, firstly the link you sent me to contact the developer displays “Oops! this help centre no longer exists”. Not a good start! The post Office in question was Moulton, High Street, Moulton, Spalding, PE12 6QB. I was trying to buy a small amount of foreign currency using my verified passport within the App, saying that it would not matter what transaction I was doing they had never seen the EasyID App before and didn’t know about it. This is not the first time this has happened, it seems post offices in general are not aware of the App.
If
Easy to set and use
Useless app
Went in to my local post office to collect a parcel and used this app as ID. it was refused. I even showed to manager on the app where is said I can use to collect parcels. Waste of the post offices money developing it and then not telling staff it’s useable. I even got the leaflet about the app from the post office I was trying to use. Useless app. Lady in post office said it was nothing to do with them but post office ltd. I advised her to contact her head office about it and she said she will. Not holding my breath Will try it one more time then delete the app as I’ve seen other reviews where a local post office won’t accept it. YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR STAFF INFORMED
Fantastic app, with potential
Concept of this app is fantastic and i hope it can become an official way to verify age ect, because i don't carry a wallet around, 5* no matter what but few improvements i would recommend is on identification part showing age name is if you screen shot it, it blanks it out so it cant be sent to others, also being able to have something on the wallet page of the iphone to be able to have something there aswell
NOT ACCEPTED AT MOST SHOPS
ID not accepted at most supermarkets namely Tesco and CO-OP. Even went to a co-op with a post office branch inside and still wouldn’t accept my EasyID… completely pointless
The newest version is packed with improvements throughout the app. There is now more help and guidance when you need to add your passport to your reusable digital ID. We have also made improvements to how we display content in the app; you can now see a full list of articles by tapping ‘Show all’.
