Bookmark synchronization would be nice
Very nice, clean app. One possible improvement would be the synchronization of bookmarked articles, then I could bookmark an article on my phone, and continue reading on my ipad. On the other hand, this would raise some privacy issues as the Economist group would then know exactly what I am reading.
Nice Layout, Great Audio Function
The app is easy to use and a great way to keep up with the high-quality articles in this publication. I especially enjoy the audio function where you can listen to all articles in an issue.
Always a pleasure
Thank you for taking me along
Crap app
iPhone has no section headers, iPad has them but they don't work. Both apps continually return to the home page, where you have to press download or read every time you open it. Pathetic piece of programming!
Annoying ads
Really annoying full screen ads, even when you have a paid subscription. No-go! I cancelled.
Hard to read
Formatting the text as a single wide column is a stupid decision. Hard to read.
Good
I don't care much about the app. Reading the Economist is seamless on all devices, print as well as audio. Everything is intuitive as well. I wish every news organisation I enjoy, and I cherish The Economist, worked like this. Looking at you, Die Zeit.
