Too much work
Too much work to access my points and purchase rewards I will be changing cards just because of the difficulty to sign in to shop
CanadaFrustrating to book hotel stays
I’ve had so many issues with booking hotels through this app. The filters only work half the time. When you exit out of a hotel the app zooms out the map to the whole country you were looking at rather than the street or neighbourhood area you were clearly interested in. Half the time when you go to book it logs you out and you have to do everything all over again. I understand the security aspect but it times out way too quickly it should be more like 10-20 minutes of inactivity rather than only 5.

This app is so bad and glitchy. The part that I can’t stop laughing about is how RBC really doesn’t care about this app. I got an email from RBC 20 minutes ago where they referred to this app as the RBC rewards app, not by its name Avion Rewards where they changed the name 1 year ago. I don’t even think rbc knows what their own app is called, that’s how much of a joke this app is. Clearly making this app better isn’t a priority
CanadaHorrible app. Trying to redeem points? Forget about it!
I tried redeeming some points on an item, and when it came to ship it, they would not ship to a post office box which is absolutely absurd. We have a postal system and they can’t use it! So I attempted to edit my own address, which you can’t do in the app so you have to phone RBC to get them to change the address. 4 phone calls later and the address is still a post office box! I still can’t redeem my points that I’ve been saving for years. They attempted to redeem my points for me, but failed to find the item I was wanting on their end, but I easily could find it. They eventually told me I will have to visit the branch to redeem my points, which is not an option as I’m going to be farming for the next few months. extremely disappointed with the app and extremely disappointed with RBC and their agents that are supposed to help you. What a joke.
CanadaRBC Rewards
I have been trying to get to my rewards points and I can’t do it. I would like to use some of them and I can’t even see how many I have or even see what I can choose. The old way was so much easier for me. I’m a senior and I’m not so good on the computer. You give me all these points and then make it impossible to redeem them, THANKS FOR NOTHING RBC!!!!!!!!!!!

CanadaHelp Center not up to date
Functionality of the app has changed but answers in Help Center are not up to date. Tried to transfer my points from one card to the other, and the answer I got from the Help tool no longer exists. Had to find it after much digging. Why is transfer points in ‘Redeem’ and all the way at the bottom of the page? I would think whenever something changes in the app there would be updated documentation for users. Seems like a pretty basic ask.
